I am coming to you as a fellow dog owner, hog dogger, and normal human being. I have not been doing this for my whole life, and nowhere near as long as some on this board. I am no one special, but I know SOMETHING special when I see it. I also know TROUBLE when I see it, and it is coming towards OUR way of life at a fast pace. I have nothing against TDHA, and am a member of both the LSWDA and TDHA and have paid my yearly dues. I am making this post because I have been in contact with two different women from the LSWDA for a while now, and they have been extremely helpful in what we are trying to do. The association that these two women are involved with is the real deal. Jo Lynne and Krystal, along with others that I have not met yet, are super serious and passionate about keeping and protecting our rights as working dog owners/breeders. They’re all trying to make a bigger voice for us as a whole. All of the people involved in these working dog associations have poured their heart and souls into trying to make a difference, and to protect what we all cherish so much. I have now had the opportunity to experience this first hand, meet both of them and other members, and witness the passion for myself.  Now that I have experienced this life style I am never going to be able to get away from it. I’m addicted…  Grin but to keep being able to do what we all love we have to be able to protect ourselves from people like PETA and HSUS. To do that, we have to stick together for what we believe in, and get educated enough to not be our own worst enemy. Please show your support and pay your membership dues to one or both of these associations. They are fighting for us, so why not help them do so. It really isn’t much money at all to lend a helping hand, and I know first-hand that they really do appreciate it. Thanks for reading.

P.S. No one put me up to this… I felt the need to share this because they DESERVE our support. What they all do is a thankless job, and someone has to speak up. I guess that person is me. Grin THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU ALL DO!!!

And to the Randy Bumpers people and the LSWDA, you all did a fantastic job putting on the tournament, and we all had a blast and will be back next year!

Thanks PBC... I'm honestly just trying to put the word out there and help. I know people see the names LSWDA or TDHA from time to time, but how many actually take the time out to go look at their sites, or what they actually do for all of us??? or for that matter become a member??? They really need the support, and so do we. So, IMO, it's a win win...

You should point everybody who wants to get involved in the right direction if they really want to start helping maybe just don't know where to begin.

Please go to http://www.lswda.org/ and scroll down just a little bit. The home page has a place where you can sign up too be a member. It's $25 and some change for a year if you want to try it out, or $154.50 for a life time membership. I will be getting my life time once my yearly goes out. They need the support!!!! Put the stickers on something that other dog owners will see and show your support as well once you get signed up. We all need to be a part of one or both of the orgs. This way we will have a much bigger voice to heard in the fight to see who is right and who is wrong; or if you don't want to look at who is right/wrong look at it as being fair or unfair.

The TDHA site is http://www.tdha.org/pages/jointdha.htm and is about the same price for a year, but the lifetime membership for TDHA is quite a bit more than LSWDA's. Both are still good orgs, and both support our rights as working dog owners.

Please show your support!

$1,500 collage scholarship each year.
Crime stoppers fund.
Legal fund.

Loys going on to support all dog hunters.

Thank you for your post.  We need all the members we can get.  The new legislative session will be here before you know it and the bigger the numbers we can bring to the table the better off we'll be.

Do you mean that you are signed up for their forums? Although that is excelent, they really need to money to support their ventures. Nothing in this contry is free, and especially not pollitics. LOL! $25 is sure not very much when you think about being able to keep hunting hogs with dogs, or any other type of hunting with dogs; and for that matter being able to breed your own animals without having to have a licence. I'm sure they appreciate your support either way though.  Cool

And sure thing! Anything I can do to help I will do my best to make happen! I know that I would like to talk to a few of you about an idea I have for the next session, or the session after that. I have talked with Jo Lynn about it previously, but very briefly.

Thanks Ryan for encouraging folks to sign up and contribute to the cause!!  Very glad to have you on board!!!

You are dead on that organizations like LSWDA and TDHA NEED folks to step up and stand united.  There is strength in numbers and in the political ring, numbers mean A LOT!!!  With the upcoming 83rd Legislative Session looming closer every day, we are going to need everyone to step up, help out, and do their part.  LSWDA is working diligently at getting things ready for this session.  We hope to accomplish some great things and we want everyone to be a part of it!!
