Charles - Sense when does the U.S. Government abide by rules set by sovereign nations, ever been in NdN country lol. They would quickly and quietly set unfair trade rules against Texas, use there power to keep other countries from trading with Texas, shut off your ability to sell Texas oil to anyone there by shutting down the main stay of your new and very fragile economy, place tariffs on your goods if they do act kind and allow good's leave your new country. Your state does not have a large enough stock of organic seeds to farm for any real period of time due to the wave of hybrid produce which we all eat, it's seed's are not fertile. You will not be able to grow nearly enough food with your huge cites full of hungry and now very angry people who may not share your devotion to nationality and as any 3rd world country has show when the food run's out the cause dies very quickly. With no food and no economy moving homes owned by out of state mortgage companies will want to forclose, your new country will not want to honor the contract's . They will use the power in washington and deem your new country as hostile to the well being of the United States due to the chaos that at that time will be full scale on several levels, once deemed a threat troops will move into Texas, a new Federal Governmental leader will be set as head of Texas. your new Texas currenecy that never had any value to begin with other countries due to the lack of gold to back it will be worth even less and all state land will now be owned by the federal government and Texas will be worse off then when you started. But hell I've been wrong before , give'er a try.

I've though a lot about his and am a younger member of this forum but I hold the same views as many of you and I do have a tat that shows my pride for Texas and for the good lord above. I say go for it and if I have to die for this state then so be it. "you've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything"

waylon, you make good arguments, but i will argue with a stop sign and have a vengful side of me. you back door me, halt my progress, be ready to pay the price and if that price is blood, then so be it. stay on our own ground and kick the hell out of the government storm troopers, sink their supply ships, shoot down their aircraft, set fire to their homes, gut shoot them where it turns 1 target into 3 more targets. with everything you said our government will do and has done to other countries to get what they want, then do you as an american support that kind of government? if we cant fix the federal government, then we should abolish it, if thats not a solution to you red blooded americans, then stay where your at or join the cause and fight for a new government or move a little south of the red river and join in with us

Charles a man with his hand on a rifle killing fellow Americans isn't the answer. A man on his knees with a Bible by his side praying to God Almighty for his country is.

kevin, to answer your question as to our young soldier who enjoy hunting on leave. I was ask a couple yrs ago by my CO and Btn Co, that if the feds ask for citizens to disarm and had to send the troops in to disarm. would I do it? my answer was bring a stock pile of body bags and they better double plate their front and backs b/c i would turn my weapon on any1 that tried to disarm or force me and other to disarm the citizens. i do understand your line of questioning and it is something that would have to be hashed out before we could declare our independence. no as to our fellow hunters, they would free to move about the state as long as they have a temp visa just as we need if we travel to other countries for vacation. those that are in the state are allowed to voice their opinions but if the majority wants a free texas, then they can choose to stay, hunt, pay their taxes and obide by the law. if that is to much, then they can pack up and leave, but if they are paying taxes to the feds, they hunt now and obide by the laws, then why would they really have an issue? you raise very good questions that again would need to be hashed out before declaring independence.
why is it you think these type of threads cant benifit any1? what if there are others out there that think the same, but dont know where to start but visit or are members and they can spread the word to other like minded people. all we are doing is trying to band together, aint that also what this forum is for, to inform and educate visitors and members of upcoming bills that could turn law and be a danger to our sport.
X2 Charles!!!! Sorry I been off awhile but I'm still with ya 100%

Waylon like Charles said you make some good arguments... But the government we are under now in my opinion is only getting worse an from the looks of thing it's steadily going down hill. So why not band together and be our own country Texas Oklahoma Louisiana Arkansas Arizona and any other state that has our beliefs an make OUR country a place that thrives an provides a better economy and country for our people??

never been for discracing the good book, but if you wont let me use a rifle, and all i have is the good book, i guess its possible to cause blunt force trama. its good to have shepards to tend the flock, but sometimes the shepard needs to put down his staff and book and take up arms, no matter what.

Sorry Charles I love Texas as much as anyone.Never lived anywhere else and never will.I would die if the government tried to disarm us but not for a impossible dream such as Texas being its own country. We are way out numbered in our own state between Yankees and Mexicans and just plain weak minded people. Most texans do have better manors than your typical New Yorker but the yellow strips down there back is just as wide.Waylon is right they would not allow it. The whole world could line up against the US and we'd kick that asse.So do y'all really believe the good men we do have would be enough to defend against that kInd of power? They would never fire a shot. They wouldnt have too.Waylon pointed out just a few problems with this plan.you would be dying for a dream which a majority of Texans would not simply because they know;not think it would be impossible. No chance!I love the idea of it anyway though.

Truth be told the U.S. Armed forces would wipe you off the face off the planet before you knew they were there.
#1 You have no navy of any kind...What would you sink the ships with?
#2 You have no Airforce..... you would try to shoot down a stealth bomber with a 30-06 rifle
#3 You have no anti aircraft guns of any kind
#4 You have no way to make guns or ammo
#5 You have no armored vehicles
#6 They would know your every move by sattelite
You have guerilla warfare with small arms that is all. The U.S. Gov would treat you like Waco.
You may want to think you are a bad ass on the internet, truth be told your fantasies would not work out as planned. Sorry Rambo....Real life is calling.

Quillin who's to say that the majority of people don't feel the same way we do? Who's to say that the UNited states wouldn't be ok with our decisions an work with us? We get the right person with the knowledge needed to take the correct actions in making this happen. In my opinion!!
And Cajun how bout having a little faith and being a little open minded. Just because you don't agree with us doesn't make us wrong!!!! No one asked for you to shoot down our thoughts. If something of this magnitude happens an does succeed I want you to eat crow an remember the day you got on here downing our thoughts!!

cajun are you aware of the former soldiers and current soldiers that may feel this way and that there are military bases in tx with the firepower to achive the goals, u just have to have to balls to do it. its gutless yellow bellied chicken chit people like you that think its impossible. as far as rambo and a bad a$$ come over and i wil show how bad. do you have any spec ops training, in tactics and warfare? i guess the garillas in vietnam got their butts whooped pretty good huh. they kicked the crap out the U.S., french and chineese and still have not been conquered. not bad for a bunch of half ass mountain boys. oh and i dont own an 06. you might need to wake, clear the poo out of your nose and smell the roses. this country is head down the swirling porcelin throne and people like you are the train conductors. you have no honor or values or pride in this country nor for tx. if the u.s. cant get it together, then its time to move on. there are pleanty of bullet spounges in this state.

Charles buddy, friend, the Man makes a good point. I love your fire and passion and as tough as Texas is let's be honest and get real. You face the entire blunt force of the most powerful Military on the planet earth and it's a no brainer. truth be told they would send one navy ship & one bomber and it's light out. But again i like your passion, but perhaps it could better be directed through political action, not military. What I'd like to see is Texas take that fire ya'll have and emerge as a leader for the country by setting and example that would inspire other states, not bail out and leave the union.

IN THE NOT TOO DISTANT FUTURE AMERICA WILL FRACTURE INTO CULTURAL STATES INDEPENDENT OF THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT. I SEE SOMETHING LIKE TEXAS, OKLAHOMA, ARKANSAS, LOUISIANA BANDING AND CREATING A UNION. THEIR IS A HUGE CULTURAL DEVIDE IN AMERICA AND IT JST KEEPS GETTING BIGGER, THE VALUES THAT WE HAVE IN THIS PART OF THE NATION ARE MANY TIMES AT ODDS WITH THE IDEALS OF THE COASTS. THE MORE LOCALIZED YOU CAN GET YOUR GOVERNMENT THE BETTER! HOW MANY TIMES HAVE WE SEEN THE NUT JOBS ON EITHER COAST DICTATE THEIR IDEALS ON US? IF AMERICA WERE TO FRACTURE PEOPLE COULD MIGRATE TO PARTS OF THE COUNTRY THAT SHARED THIER BELIEFS. I MAY BE OFF BUT ONE THINGS FER DAMN SURE, THEIR IS MASSIVE CHANGE HEADED FOR THIS NATION!
I could not agree more !
