Is a lot like getting your prom date from Craigslist.

You will more than likely dissatisfied with what you get;
You will probably get some used up ol hooker;
Might end up with a transvestite;
And might be found by the sherriffs dept naked confused and hungry in a ditch.

Quit buying dogs off the Internet, just because you drove along way for it don't make it any better than the mutts at your own city pound. Know what I mean Vern?

T-Bob are you still haunted by your prom night? Grin You need therapy man. Like real bad. Nah skip the therapy so I can get a good laugh now and then.

I think there are good dogs to be had off the net but  make sure to do your homework if you don't know them personally. Post history is a big help but do not rely on it they can and will still lie to you.

¡Exactamentè!

I'm just tired of seeing someone ripped off every week, that means there are folks out there making dang good money off of taking any ol dog, putting a cut collar on it to snap a photo then selling it to some poor sucka.
Thus forum is great because you can see if that dog has been mentioned in past successful hunts, health questions, aggression problems and so much more. If you learn to use the search feature, it in and of itself can tell you what you wanna know if your inclined toward detective work. 100 bucks ain't what I'm talking about neither, if you are offered or read about a finished dog, you oughta be able to find evidence of that dogs existence prior to the dog trade post you found him on.

Purebreed is correct about one of my dogs, but behind the scenes I found the sellers former user name, who he hunted with, pics from when he first got red, stories of hunts that red had been on etc etc etc. I even got pure breeds name and number so I could ask him what he thought of the dog and and the guy I was buying him from. All told I probably spent 9 hours researching the young man I bought that dog from before I picked him up and I got exactly what I hoped for.

I never intended to sound rude, just playfully reminding folks that the rules of the dog trade are pretty well thought out and should be payed attention to. It aint kissin butt neither, I like the dogs I got and ain't gotta do no angling to gain favors.

I know that I personally wouldn't pay money for a working dog in the first place unless I can watch it work first hand with my own two eyesm that's different. I could never just go off of someone's word. Folks aren't as genuine on their word as they used to be waaaay back in the day. I haven't bought many a dog though. I make my own  Grin

any one that wont let you hunt with the dog for a few weeks or take you with him a few times you dont have any bussness messin with them. keep your money in your pocket until you find a person that will do this. hunt the dog a few times the more you give for him the more you need to hunt him. dont take anybodys word unless you know them verry well money changes everything for some people.

x2...I like breeding my own dogs...but it takes time to come up with the right dogs to breed...but once there all you need to do is breed a litter every now and then and start testing and selecting...takes a little longer but well worth the wait...
