Buy some ENDURE horse fly reppellent, made by FARNHAM.  I would spray the whole dog with it,  it will keep fleas and ticks off too. At first, it will last a few days, when u see a fly land on your dog, spray em again. After awhile, you won't be spraying em but once a week or every 10'days as the ENDURE accumilates in there skin. Farnham has a website and if your feedstore dont have it, u can get it online at Jeffers or Revival animal health

Get a couple these can fly traps. This picture was takin 3 days after I put em up. I put two up and they are full after 3 or 4 days. I also put out fly paper and sprayed the kennels with fly spray. You won't ever get em all but by doin all this I slowed em way down. Good luck!!!

I took some Pirahna horse fly spray and just dribled it on my dogs ears, head and down her back and no flies at all.  I have to hit her with it every couple days but they were about to carry her away and now they wont touch her.

It's called a captivator I bought em at Tractor Supply I think they were $6 or so they came with the stuff to put in there. You just mix that stuff with water.

Everyone already may know this but I had to figure it out on my own. The stuff you put in the fly trap attracts flys so if you will put the trap away from your dogs aways it will attract them away from your dogs and keep them away from them.

I use Swat when they are already eating on their ears. you can put it right on the wound and it stays on good. I always use the pink kind so i can see when i need to reapply.

Muleman is right, i was trying to remember the name but couldnt. That SWAT salve is good on those ears that have allready been "tenderized. ".

Go down to the Dollar store and pickup a couple of the automatic air freshner thingys (they are like 3 bucks)  and tractor supply sells a flyspray in a pressurized canister.  Thats what i used last year and it worked GREAT!  I need to run get a couple more cans, the flies are startin a little early this year.

I use endure too about every two weeks. But for ears that have sores I apply vaseline to the sores daily to keep the files off of the sore long enough to heal.

Gordons fly spray from any feed store like tractor supply. OIL BASED is the key! only apply every 3 days on avg.

I use fly raptors to break the breeding as well but the oil based sprays work fast to start with, the water based ones dont work for long/half day
