How old are the pups? I use Robitussin cough and cold for dogs older then 8mo. Same dose for people's and animals follow instructions on box. If it is not better in a few days go to vet, it can get bad and SPREAD FAST!!!! keep dogs isolated food n water bowls.

Really not much you can do except what was stated above, yes pups can get. Just let it run its course. It is HIGHLY contagious, travels in the air, so don't isolate infected dogs up wind. If one dog has it more than likely they will all get it, and any dog that is or has been around them. There is a vaccine for it, I think it like $8-10.

I don't believe it can be "cured" only controlled. Sorry to hear that. Did he/she get her Bortella (spelling?) shots?

I was told you could get a cup of bleach good bleach and dip two finger in, and wait till it heats up on your fingers then gag the dog with your two fingers. Do this 5-6 times and it will be gone.

What's the symptoms? If got a gyp that started coughing last week or week before last? She was fine at first just had a cough. I started give pencilling and la 200. Now the only time she gets out of her dog house is to eat and she acts stove up. That's nothing like her. She normally is wired like a three day clock.

it only last a week or two. They will cough and act like they are gagging. Bout all you can do is let it run its course. Just Google it, there is tons of info on it. Me and my buddus dogs both got it. At the time we didnt know anything about it. He went strait to the vet and spent about $1,000 to treat all his dogs. I googled it and spent $0 all of my dogs came thru just fine.
But do keep an eye on them, it think they can develop infection and pneumonia but its been a while since ive read up on it and my memory ain't the best And im no vet.

Just had 10 of 11 dogs get it and it will spread like wildfire.  Doxycycline is the only antibiotic I found that will work.  Had dogs on Amoxicillin, Cephlaxin and Clindamycine and none of those work.  If you don't get them all cured they will just keep catching it again from one another.  Robitussin DM 3cc's three times daily ( I used the dollar store brand) and Doxycycline like Monty said was the only solution I found.  Based on my experience, it does not go away on its own when you have multiple dogs.  I've owned dogs in some shape or form all my life and had never had a problem with it until last month.

One vet told me you cannot cure it.

Another gave me a bottle of Cephlaxin.

A third gave me the Doxy.

Good luck and when you're over it, I'd spend the money and give all your dogs the intranasal Bordatella vaccine.

We battled it late last year, they are all going to get it.  I took the worst one of ours to the vet and he gave me meds (cannot remember what they are).  I gave them Robitussin to ease their coughing and let it run its course, I think it last about a month before it ran through our entire kennel.....it was crazy frustrating.

Ya it sucks!!!  Angry  Everyone of mine and my partners dogs spread it around for about 2 weeks. I used Robitussin like I stated above and within a week it was gone. The dog who got it the worst for some reason was my inside dog. It took him longer to get rid of it too. My buddy hunted one of his and the next day it was gone. He told me the cold night air helped it but I'm not sure he might be full of $hit LOL.

Also I went and got the Kennel Cough shot at TSC it was $7.50 a shot and u give it threw the nose. Pretty easy and simple. Good luck!!!!

Also I know it's air born but my vet told me if a dog is very cold, hungry, or real weak there more susceptible to get it just like a human and the Flu
