The U.S. Secret Service is looking into a violent rant by "Catch Scratch Fever" rocker Ted Nugent in which he denounced President Barack Obama and his top advisers as "evil" and urged National Rifle Association members to help "chop their heads off in November."
"I'll tell you this right now: If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year," Nugent said. "We need to ride into that battlefield and chop their heads off in November. Any questions?"
Nugent, speaking at the organization's annual gathering over the weekend, praised NRA members but warned that if they did not "get everybody in your lives to clean house in this vile, evil, America-hating administration, I don't even know what you're made out of."
"If the coyote's in your living room, pissing on your couch, it's not the coyote's fault. It's your fault for not shooting him," he said.He also denounced the administration as "criminals" and said a Democratic victory in November would mean "we'll be a suburb of Indonesia next year" — an apparent reference to Obama's boyhood time there.
that a boy ted.

Good to see a conservative dish it out as well as the liberals have been doing it. The media will do their best to villify him while always giving a free pass to libs.

I agree with him the main point he is getting at. I just really feel he is pushing people to the other side of the fence. Too over the top for most people. He never has an issue telling you how he feels.

And THAT is why I will always love uncle Ted... the man ain't afraid to speak his mind... COMMENDABLE in this day and time... HOWEVER... It's easy to bitch and moan and say "I don't like your plan".... trust me, I hear it from my friends all the time... ... to which I always respond, "you come up with a better plan, then we'll talk." Plan B must be agreed on before plan A is kicked to the curb, only to be immediately replaced with, yet another, genetically engineered "A" clone... (cough, cough, Romney, cough... ) .... now if ol' Ted comes up with a plan to forcibly inject some Ron Paul into this equation... I'm all in...

I'm afraid there are much, much worse things that are waiting to slither in, in the absence of clear vision
In the vaccum of something of this magnitude, a power struggle is inevitable... which is historically quite ugly. Winning minds beforehand by having a clear restructuring plan would save much

Well, here is the contrarian view.
I like Nugent. He is over the top, but has some good underlying points. However, I find the contrast between his comments and the uproar over the Dixie Chicks comments interesting. Many of the people aligning with Nugent railed about anyone (DC) having the audacity to disrespect the Presidency. It fascinates me.
I think Nugent has the right to express his opinions. But, he and all of us have to be careful about crossing the line. You can't make threats, even implied threats, against the President. Any President. The Secret Service can and does take those seriously.

To be replaced by what
Agreed. The problem is structural. The weakness of any democracy is when the voters realize that they can use their votes for their economic advantage. This includes giving funds to the politicians to acquire the votes. At that point, what might be good for the entire country is less important than what is good for the individual voter. Be that welfare, tax cuts, tax credits, military contracts, NASA, sports stadiums, etc. etc.

we cant make threats, but yet the government can make threats and fullfill them threats in their so called name of anti-terrorism. its ok for them say what they want, but dont let any1 say against them or do against them. its a "do as i say, not as i do" mentality when it comes to uncle sam. if its good enough for them to do it, then its good enough to be done against them. its ok for the feds to sanction against countries who dont share their points of view and idiology, but yet dont let countries or people do the same to them. its a 1 sided deal.

Rl sees it as I do. I do agree with nugent but the phrases and words that he used were red flags to everyone. I support em and love the way he talks but u just can't do that towards the pres whether he is doing his job or not. It was my first year in college and I can remember the election like no other. Ppl were coming to school with their air force ones airbrushed Obama once u go black u never go back america. It hit a bad spot inside of me. I am no wheren ear racist. Love the good ole black folks. Have hunted with a few and conversate with a few on a day to day basis but some minorities will always view the white man as trying to take advantage of them. Every college student I asked why they supported Obama that did said "cause he is black. Its time to let a black man run this."w it disgusted me. Now that it has gotten so bad they are still blind to the fact that the man has seriously screwed it up. Just because they support his race and I am sure millions will vote for him again. Especially the ones still smoking pot watching tv with 24sa on a Cadillac drawing a bigger unemployment and disability check bigger than I who works full time and barely scrapes by. This is the world we live in. Let's take it back to the cowboy days where it was an eye for an eye and the law was let their feet dangle till their life isl gone.
