Just because they support his race and I am sure millions will vote for him again. Especially the ones still smoking pot watching tv with 24sa on a Cadillac drawing a bigger unemployment and disability check bigger than I who works full time and barely scrapes by. This is the world we live in. Let's take it back to the cowboy days where it was an eye for an eye and the law was let their feet dangle till their life isl gone.
X2 on this for sure!!!!!

To be replaced by what
Agreed. The problem is structural. The weakness of any democracy is when the voters realize that they can use their votes for their economic advantage. This includes giving funds to the politicians to acquire the votes. At that point, what might be good for the entire country is less important than what is good for the individual voter. Be that welfare, tax cuts, tax credits, military contracts, NASA, sports stadiums, etc. etc.
I agree...here in lies the problem...those that are active voters and those that have the money to aquire or sway the vote...most of the time it is good for a few and not for the betterment of our country as a whole...I am one who believes in what is best for the country...and usually it is a healthy balance for all...

we cant make threats, but yet the government can make threats and fullfill them threats in their so called name of anti-terrorism. its ok for them say what they want, but dont let any1 say against them or do against them. its a "do as i say, not as i do" mentality when it comes to uncle sam. if its good enough for them to do it, then its good enough to be done against them.
Would you have had this sentiment if someone advocating the death of "W" or Reagan or Washington? Afterall, much fo the changes relative to anti-terorism were implemented at the request of W. Did you support threats against him?
We have long had laws that punish anyone who threatens the President. Regardless of who is holding the office, or their party affiliation. Nothing new here. My point is, that Nugent was near that line, if not over it, and that is an unwise place to be.

rl, you are right about gw. i didnt understand who w was till you said he implimented more strict terror rules. i did not like the crap gw did, and he was NOT a saint by any means. yes my sentiments were similar. gw help put this country on the road to destruction, spliting our forces on 2 fronts, stretching our resources. his war was a gain for his office. he used terror by the american people for a call to war. he inacted a law that puts americans in far away prisons without a fair trial and due process which is against our constitutional rights. should we side with that kind of tyranny? as far as regan and washington, i deff wasnt around for washington, nor was anybody alive today and for regan, i was barely big enough to hold a bb gun. only thing with them 2 presidents is what the history books say, which them books were/are written by man. there may or may not be hard proof against or for history. what is going on now affects us NOW, not 25-200 yrs ago.

You seem to already have all the solutions... Seems you have atleast one follower thats willing to help... Plus Uncle Ted...
Ive also noticed how when someone says something you dont like, you always respond " just read or keep quiet ", " pack your things and leave " , " dont post if you dont support " , etc etc...
I usually do keep quiet, but I think you've been talking about this long enough that you should have taken some kind of action by now...
Just curious, what kind of action have you taken past Internet post?? You can pm me if you dont want to put it out there like Uncle Ted did... But I would love to hear it...

I agree. We, the people, lost more of our constitutional rights and protections under W than we have at any time in the history of the country. Maybe, in light of the threat of terrorism, it was a necessary evil, but then maybe it wasn't.
He wrapped it in patriotism and whether it was tyranny or not, we tolerated it. I suspect, we will continue to tolerate it. Balancing our rights to privacy and the government's responsibility to protect us is a very complex topic.

this is not too far off the subject...but, I totally disagree with this law...to me it is a no brainer...the majority of voters do not own large amounts of land nor do they own big enough business...so they are ok with this one...but I believe it is wrong for big business such as city or state to just take your property for the going price...I could agree with this if they gave me 3 or more times the rate because I did not want to sell or because of sentimental value or because it is a choice spot/ area for business...back before that rule folks wouldn't sell unless it was for a ridiculous amount of money...a lot of times we go from one extreme to another...
I am talking about "Eminent Domain"
The definition below...
The power to take private property for public use by a state, municipality, or private person or corporation authorized to exercise functions of public character, following the payment of just compensation to the owner of that property.
Federal, state, and local governments may take private property through their power of eminent domain or may regulate it by exercising their Police Power. The Fifth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution requires the government to provide just compensation to the owner of the private property to be taken. A variety of property rights are subject to eminent domain, such as air, water, and land rights. The government takes private property through condemnation proceedings. Throughout these proceedings, the property owner has the right of due process.
Eminent domain is a challenging area for the courts, which have struggled with the question of whether the regulation of property, rather than its acquisition, is a taking requiring just compensation. In addition, private property owners have begun to initiate actions against the government in a kind of proceeding called inverse condemnation.

Trent there are a lot of people on here voicing thier opinions myself included. Instead of singling Charles out why not ask everyone te same question?? I personally can say that I've done anything yet other that try and figure out ways to try an put my thoughts/opinions in motion. My opinion is there are a lot of people on here making very fine points an there are also some who make no sense at all.

Your post is quoted right there with Charles....

The reason i asked charles is because its very easy to see where he stands, and what he believes needs to be done...
Its all there in words, just wondering where the action is....
MOST of the posts by others are agreeing that they dont like whats going on and wants change, but none constantly go the extreme that charles does... I have no problem with charles' views, as several i agree with him on, im just not going to throw it out there like him or Uncle Ted...

I totally agree with that statement!!!
And I will end this with a Toby Keith quote:
" Alittle less talk and alot more action" ...

The next chapter. Today, he stated:
"That's ridiculous," Nugent told radio talk show host and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R). "I mean, I'm a non-violent guy, I don't threaten. I wouldn't waste my time threatening, I've never threatened anyone's life in my life. I will not threaten anyone's life. I certainly wouldn't threaten the life of the president, or anybody in public office, or anybody anywhere."
Nugent confirmed that he was contacted by the Secret Service, who are investigating his comments during the NRA convention that he would be "dead or in jail by this time next year" if President Barack Obama is re-elected. Nugent, who has a history of inflammatory comments, said the Secret Service was just doing their job in investigating what he called the "preposterous, outrageous, deceitful dishonest claim that I threatened anyone's life."
Boisterous statements followed by a clarifying crawfish statement. Too funny.

I said I agree on some of your views.. Didnt say that this was one of them...
So you have contacted senators and congress about injecting them with mercury and being a spotter for Uncle Ted??
On the other hand, if you contacted them complaining and just letting them know how you feel on the subject, then I believe you are doing the right thing, even if it seems you go unheard... Keep it up charles!!
Its the same way with the laws pertaining to our dogs, we all voice our opinions on here, but it doesnt seem that enough are standing up and being heard!!

Iv used letters n emails complaining about p-poor service from the with no luck. Had to get the tx vet comission involved to any justice, ask for info as to why bills get passed into laws even though the people speak against the bill, what needs to b done to lower fuel prices and got more back from the crickets in the yard than i got back from the elected officials. 1 voice cant make a change n it seems 1000s of voices cant get justice either. All of the voices from workin man have fallen on deaf ears. We dont have enough benjimans to get our voices heard
