Yeller you can go to Texas Legacy Kennels website and look for Musket if you want to see a modern day Carver dog.

Here's a tribute to carver.  I've met some dogmen here in san antonio that had first hand accounts with carver .  His yard was right here in San Antonio and I've heard some nice stories from guys who were young at the time and first into the game back in the mid 60-70's.  Caver died in 79 and I'm sure many people kept his legacy going with his dogs.  I've seen some coming down from pure carver that were nice.

I was fortunate enough a few years ago to be put in touch with a lady in Mico that had some copies of the ring Maurice wore. I bought the gold one and 2 different friends bought the 2 silver ones she had. I didn't even have to size it. It fit right off. I asked Floyd Boudreaux if it was the real thing and he smilied and said "You betcha, I have a couple cpoies too."  That was enough confirmation for me. I never met the man as I got my first bulldog in 79 and I lived 2500 miles from him any way. But I have had conversations with Irish Jerry, Gary Hammonds, Floyd Boudreaux, James Crenshaw and some others and I know it would have been a treat to spend some time with him as he was a colorful son of a gun. I know that Bobby Hall has a bejeweled copy of this ring that I have seen him wear. I just know I treasure mine.

You know there was and still is I guess a ton of people that disliked Bobby H.  But for the most part I think it was people that never really got to know Bobby personaly.  I knew Bobby pretty well and if he liked you there was not a thing he would'nt do for you .  He was a ton and I say a ton of fun to be around always cracking jokes and just a man that you never knew what was coming next.  I use to spend nites at Bobby's house when he lived in Cypress and I can remember driving lots of times while him and Jannet slept in the back of his Bullyson van some how some way I always ended up driving .  We was on our way to Okla. one time and we found  box on the side of the road that contained none other than two pairs of silk Pajama's a Black pair with red lining and a Blue pair with dark blue lining they must have cost some body a ton of money real silk and man we fought like cats and dogs over who was getting what color ended up in Okla at going to a dog show ADBA of course and having one hell of a party at some big fancy motel and when I say party I mean one hell of a party .  Some h ow some way I passed out in that pair of blue pajamas and ole Bobby snapped a pic that I never knew of and some how that picuture ended up at my Mothers mail box and written on the picture was PLEASE MOMMA I WANNA COME HOME AND SIGNED BY NONE OTHER THAN BOBBY HIMSELF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Man I looked like hell stoned cold drunk passed out with some ole gal laying over the top of me ahhahahahaahhahahahahaah passed out also !
