UNDERDOG- Im not going to sit here and argue with you over a dog.. my buddy got burnt on the deal and thats that. i never knew age had anything to do with hunting or what you no.. if your ever around paris bring your dogs and we will let them do the talking.. have a nice day buddy..  Afro

Brushraider- all but one of the dogs was come pick up and see what u think!! there was a couple that was decent and one will hammer a hog in the pen.. he just wants a dog that will hunt hard.. but yea i see where your coming from it was just a long dragged out deal.. but he got one he likes from my hunting partner and its all good..
this is why its so hard for kids like me that are tryin to get into the sport that are more respectful to get in good with the oldder guys. Man come on have some respect for your elders

Many years ago I used to judge alot of bird dog field trials. One of the things I noticed is this. Many of the guys in Texas thought they had to send off to Tn, Ga, Al, or Fl to buy a dog. The guys from Tn, Ga, Al, and Fl, went to Texas to get their dogs.

I used to be guilty of this...But I eventually found the best dogs right here in Texas....I have been to tenn, miss, la, ill...and the show me state...ultimately...breeding and selecting my own from some good foundation stock is what pleases me the most...once I settle on some dogs I don't bring in any new blood unless it is needed...

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog...
