Borax users for fleas.

Well guess the Bayer Tree and Shrub has lost its effectiveness. Another user commented the fleas built a tolerance in about two years.  Well its been exactly two for me and spot on.

Got two pens that exploded with sand fleas and they are dipping their biscuits in Bayer before they eat em.
Also a first for me...sprayed with diesel and burned oil with minimal impact as well..scary.

So had one box of Borax 20 team mule detergent and spread before a light shower.  Seems to have made a considerable dent but still a few.

My question is to the Borax users

1. Is this the correct type and brand
2.  Where are yall purchasing it.   Wal-mart doesn't carry it here anymore.
3. Are yall combining it with anything else for nuking a pen.

Also I have already salted the H@ll out of my pens with zero results.

Think I have some hybrids on my hands with gas masks.

We have always used and reccomended Borax powder over the years, but for inside the house for those with carpet. It's safe for kids and pets. Works well. Never heard of it being used outside but I don't see why not. I just saw some today matter of fact in WalMart down the laundry detergent aisle.

i will have to try it.... the fleas are terrible around my casa right now. do yall just sprinkle it around or what?

Yep I picked up the trick on here awhile back but the Bayer tree and shrub kept them beat down nicely until now.

I just hand tossed it around the affected area. It seems to work better if you wet it afterwards and let it soak into ground.

I just want to know if there are multiple brands of Borax and if anyone has isolated the active ingredient that differs from any other detergent.
But yes Peach it works really well so far on stubborn sand fleas.

That's the right one. Twenty Mule Team Borax. I never thought of using it for fleas. We use it in taxidermy work to moth and insect proof
the mounted animals. We have a large warehouse where all the antlers and skulls are dusted with borax and stored until we are ready to mount them. In all the years there has never been a single insect seen in the building, so yep I can see it working for a flea problem.

Look for Ortho MAX tree and shrub insect control. Has the same ingredient as the original Bayer tree and shrub. 1.47% Imidacloprid.
If you like using the borax ask your local grocery store to get it for you. Ask for Twenty Mule Team Borax.

Have some of this as well. It also quit working for me. This batch of sand fleas are some of the hardest I have delt with in alot of years. First time I have sprayed straight diesel and burned motor oil on them and they continued to hop without being effected. Tolerance stinks. Again I think they are wearing little chemical suits and gas masks.
