Picked up 2, 3 month old bmc last wed, wormed 3 days, flea med. Get them out sunday and one starts to walk around bowlegged in the front end  after 15 min of playing in the yard. I have been told by many people that it is just a growing stage due to the pup growing at a faster than noraml rate. Is this true and has any one else seen this? What will speed up his recovery rate if any? How straight will his legs be when he is older? Thanks

Sometimes that's due to diet. If you are feeding puppy food go back to a GOOD adult food. On larger breed dogs the bones will outgrow the muscles and cause those crooked legs. It can be corrected if dealt with right away.

I had bmc pup with that problem.   It it similar to rickets.  Pups that are weaned early, fed a poor diet, or don't get enough sunlight can get it.  There body has vitamin D deficiency.  Vitamin D helps the body absorb calcium.  I wouldn't have taken the pup but I had my niece with me and she talked me into it.  I gave him chewable calcium supplement, poured cod liver oil over his dog food, and wrapped his legs with vet wrap at night.  I took it off in the morning to keep him from chewing it.  Don't wrap it too tight, just enough to straighten the legs.  A couple weeks and he was fine.  Make sure he can get sunlight also.
