Man might not be bad was reading the market may be pretty good next year they are thinking 8 to 10 bucks for good southern hides.  For that I may have to do some trapping again lol.

i'm fixin to start coon huntin again . hell the comp. hunts , pkc and chck are payin too much money not to get back into it . but i figure the only way to make money on hides anymore would be to just tan em myself and make stuff out of them to sell to the city folk at the trade days and flea markets . i know back in the good ol days i would quit workin for the man thru dec and january and do nothin but hunt and trap . made twice to three times my salary doin what i loved . but i don't think these ol southern coon gonna do worth a damn anymore in the market . have to sure kill a bunch to make it a worthwhile endevor .

Last ones we ran was in '06 or so. Coons were a whopping $4 or $5. Meat was $5 all day long, as much as you could bring.
We waiting for the otters to get back up where they were back then. They are bumping $50 right now, and if it follows last time, should be back around $100 by next year or so. Hopefully.

Forgot, we were selling everything to Mr. Daniel Perry up in Glenmora. He had a route back then, and I think it made a swing through TX also.
