Yesterday the high was 110 in south Texas. We didnt collar dogs until after 9 pm. It was still over 90. Got dogs loaded, ice chests of cold drinks and the hunters. We got to the first spot which is a little water hole surrounded by thick brush. We dropped one rough older yella dog and some young dogs hoping if they find one they shut him down quick. Dogs ran to the tank and no sign. Picked up and went to a protein feeder the hogs had beee jacking with. Dropped again. Jefe (crazy yella dog) took off and started making his loops. On the gps you could tell he was trying to work a track out. But prolly the heat and the wind that finally kicked up he was having a hard time working it out. One of the young dogs was doing the same as well. Finally caught jefe. Looked at gps and the young dog had backtracked the wrong way. After awhile we picked him up and loaded him up. Drove to the next spot. Kicked out the dogs again. The older dogs burned up the road. Went 300 yds and all turned right into the wind. Shortly after that jefe was bayed solid. When the rest of the dogs got there you heard squealing. We got wihinn 50 yds of the bay and This is what we ended up wih.

He wasn't a big hog but we'll take it. After that hog we hit two more spots with no luck. Since I'm gonna hunt again tonight we called it a night.
Another good fun night in south Texas!! If we have any luck tonight I'll post it up.
