All good lookin dogs. They are made in all colors and builds, but it's not so much what they look like that makes them Florida dogs, it's how they "work"  Back home in south/central Florida, we're partial to the long bodied , blockheaded type. Hard to beat a good "white" one. |

Walker/ Red-Bone Hound and old english bulldog is what I've been able to gather in my research... a LOT of selective breeding can turn a Chihuahua into a Great Dane in short order when in the right hands however...  It is my opinion, that the quality of some lines of dogs are not as much what the dogs have way back in their pedigree... as much as who is picking the traits over time... Breeders with a clear vision of what it is that they want can do amazing things with genetics... I have seen it too many times |
