I have been looking for this picture..I am Sloowww but here is pic of a Utility Pole in middle of pasture land, just to show that the hogs cost us extra money in utilities (pole that carry electricity) , not something you think of every day of hogs causing destruction

This is a picture I took near Dewees, Tx while hunting on invite with the San Antonio Fire Fighters Pig Posse! 06-07

I found this to be interesting.  The main photo in this ad was taken at the same place that hogs were damaging the back yard. 15' behind the hot tub and pool is where this damage is...

Burleson County-June 2009.

This knockdown is about 1 acre in size, and at $400/acre cost of getting the corn to this stage, it adds up pretty quick.  Most of the damage was done about 10-12 days previous to the picture taking.  The hogs had been hitting the field for ~3 nights before we found them to be in the corn, and did most of this damage during that time.

We hunted the field the first time and got 3 hogs out of a bunch and scattered the rest.  We went back today and the big group of hogs had not been back......we had to hunt for a few hours before we found a boar hog which ended up as a race and the hog smoked us but the dogs atleast got his blood pressure up.  It was just too dang hot and the dogs were worn out by the time we go on the hog and they were totoaly sapped after the race.  So we went home with a promise......that hog better find some different territory before it gets cool because he owes us for some corn, and he can't hide from Paris.

Got a call from my old boss who is a head greenskeeper at a local golf course in Burkburnett, TX  told me hogs finally crossed the line and started rootin up the course. It was too muddy to go get my trap today so my dad and I went out there and played golf and looked at the damage, they tore up one of the tee boxes pretty good and alot down the cart paths. I'm putting a trap out there this week sometime and I'm hoping to convince him to let me run the dogs on there too Grin...the red river is only about 800 yards behind the tree line in that first pic Grin

Sorry for the terrible pictures, camera phone

Reason your dogs couldn't catch that pig was because they are still recovering from party looks to me like Wink Wink

This is some recent hog rootin' damage to a grass field in Brazoria County, Texas. This is just a sample of the damage that was done in two nights.

Good post Circle C!!! Ya'll should keep the pics coming! I grabbed some of these to show hog damage on our website. This is good stuff to show people the damage these animals cause, that we really do care, and that we want to help the people that need it.
