Yea man i have no clue what the deal is. cant really say cause hes in a enclosed area. Cause even ridin in the back without a box he will do it. Like i said earlier he did it twice on a 10 minute ride. It really chaps my a$$ when were headin on a 2-3 hr trip loaded with dogs and he does that cause all the dogs are knee deep in sh!t. Hes 90+ lbs too

Try putting him up front with you, this should help.....lol
It often helps to turn them out & let them run around a few minutes before loading

One of my buddies has a dog that did this.....pitiful to look at...I'll ask him what he did, because I think that dog finally stopped doing it. Let you know if I find out anything.

a friend of mine has a very good strike dog that does this and it drives him mad... Grin he ties the back legs together and the dog doesn't poop in the dog box or trailer since he started doing this...

That is why the coon hunters boxes are so low to keep the dogs laid down , that way can not poop.

I've had a few that have done that over the years. What I did with them was leave them in the box after they crap, then when I would get back I would unload everything but that dog, and cold hot or otherwise I would spray out the truck with them in it. I always tried to get as much as possible to spray right back in their face, then I would leave them in it until the next day. After a few of those treatments it seemed to put a stop to it. Excitement or not, any dog that craps in my box is gonna have to wear it and sleep in it. Lol
