A few weeks ago...

Brian (txhogsanddogs) has been running a blazer at the mud bog for a few years. The once was blazer has gone through a lot of changes. It is now an S-10 lol. The mud bog finally opened up a fast track, so I decided to take the ol Cummins down there and run in the 35's and under Limited Class. Brian runs in the 39.5's Unlimited class. Brian took third in his class on this race. He just got everything put back together and he is getting everything tuned right and its getting faster and faster. I took second in my class, and was kinda thought of as a joke, till they saw my 8000 lbs of steel rolling down the track haha! Brian and I both have more big plans for big power in both or rigs. Should both be rollin in first in no time.

It's a lot of fun. I finally found something that puts hunting to a stop on Saturday nights!  Anyone out in the Terrell area ever want to come by give me a shout. It's usually at least 40 trucks and close to 1000 fans the 1st and the 3rd weekend of every month.

I'd like to run mine, we don't have many places like that around here, at least not that I know of.

I am still working on my truck. When I get her right I will have to go have a bit of fun and show them a diesel can get'r done. That is if they haven't figured it out with you show'n em how it is done. It would be funny to see Cummins take two spots Grin But I would do it with a dog box.

Whatcha workin on Smiley Huh?

Dog box next time, and probably another 300-400 pounds in the bed to try and help my back end hook up so I'm not jumpin down the track... Plus a little warmer tune Wink

I actually had two dogs at the race with me. They wont allow passengers on the fast track, so I may stick deuce in the front seat with me!

I have an 2001 3/4 ton with the Cummins. I have only added the big air filter. I have a set 37" tires to put on. I should have the front lifted tonight and the new tires on in a couple days.

I know people get the D60 axles off duallies and change the hubs. So if you find someone with a set of Ford dually 4x4 front hubs off a 92-93 let me know. I have the HMMWV beadlock rims so I have to get a 2" spacer but with a dually hub I won't need the spacers. The Ford is a direct fit and 92-93 also have the 9/16 lugs. I have only found them with someone thinking they are gold plated I want them just pulled off and I will rebuild them.

Let me know and maybe I can make it that way when the time comes.....we can run the cummins 3 deep!!!

Yea, the 6.7 doesn't put out enough emissions  Evil ! Haha, how does that 6.7 run? Do you have all the deletes and stuff? I sure do like those Long Horns, mines pretty, but not that pretty!

Dub, sounds like you got a heck of a plan. Exactly what axles are you talking about? I have a 1990 f350 dually 4x4. Not selling the axles just yet, have to blow up the motor first haha, but just curious. Also, you run an standard or an auto on that 01?

The great thing about the "fast track" at mud bogs and these diesels is, there is no carnage like there is on the pavement. The dirt give way before you have a chance to start breaking ujoints and whatnot. Y'all should come out sometime. I hope, at some point, they il have limited and unlimited diesel only classes.

Tcolt, the emissions bs is ALL gone......she will smoke out a 4lane road given the chance......I had everything done at a place on college street in beaumont (1 of bmt's main streets) the mechanic came out when I went to pick it up and he told me that he had it turned all the way up (performance wise) and explained how to retune it to my liking, as I was leaving he said just do us 1 favor, when you pull out hammer down and hold on tight.......i did just that, that damn 1ton on 37's broke loose and had me and my boss sideways! I let off straightened out and layed into it again.......i had traffic going both ways momentarily stopped due to the black smoke!!!.......that evening I turned it way down and havent had a reason to mess with it since. Even turned down it will and has smoked many trucks on the highway, it is no where near the fastest around but it's more than enough for me!!!
