Question i got 13 pups at about 8/9 weeks old. Could i use a domestic piglet to train them with for a while?

No. They don't smell the same at all, domestic hogs will make your pups trash on armadillos more plus your dogs will see feral hogs and not wanna get hair in their mouths.

Yah I know what you mean man. They are proud of them pink ones. In all seriousness yes you can use them too.
My only concern is just don't get in no rush, they have their whole lives to catch you hogs, just lettem be pups till they begin to mature.

I was gonna say! T-Bob must be jokin! I started a litter of 12 on a hamp show piglet (that had a gimp leg, therefore got him free) when they were 10 weeks. They were ALL catching it by 12 weeks old. It just wasn't big enough. Anyhow, I kept them bayin it from outside it's pen for a couple more weeks till I culled and sold. The ones I kept I trained as normal later and the ones I sold turned into good dogs.

Yes sir T-Bob ima let em be pups. Just like seeing them lil ones bay for the first time. I wont start em on hard core training until they bout 10to months i started my east texas cur gyp when she was a year old and shes a hog catching machine. Had a redtick i started at 11 months. I like to wait but like to see em shoe interest at a young age. Oh im in bellmead tx. But my dogs is in coolidge
