Got a call from a buddy the other day, said he had some fresh pig rootin in the pasture after the rain. Called up olddogger, James White, to see if he wanted to run over there with me. My buddies Nate, and Shane White, olddoggers son, came along as well. We took Lacy, Floyd, and Shanes cat Tank. Catch dogs were Remi and olddoggers dogo Woodrow. Dropped the dogs at the creek and drove around to the rootin area. Dogs winded and all took off, came bayed about 500 yards out in the brush out in a plumb thicket. Drove up to the wood line and walked from there. Woodrow is a beast at about 110 lbs and he went in and slammed this young boar. Cary, the ranch manager, got there just in time to help us load

. Pulled my new hunting rig back there (love not having to use my new truck in the brush) loaded him up, and took him to the pen. It was a good quick safe hunt with some good buddies and good dogs.
