Who's using em? and how are you hunting them, running them on the ground or leading in? What is y'alls overall thoughts baased on experience?

honestly man i wouldnt use them ive never had any experience with them though but i would go with a staghound their skin is thicker and so are there bones i hear. there is a page on facebook i forgot the name of it and these guys austrailia use them and they use staight greyhounds for foxes and rabbits and stray cats. they are always posting pics of there cut greys and they are herindous cuts just from running into stuff that most dog breeds can brush off. i wouldnt use them on hogs. maby a mix but not a full grey. im not trying to bash them but JMO

but the aussie people that hunt rabbits with them some at dark get in a small or large field and have huge spot lights and when they see a rabbit they shine the light on it and they greys are trained to follow the light. so they just chase the rabbit around with the light and the greyhound follows the light and when it gets close enough to the rabbit it gets it.. the yhave alot of vids on youtube.

Got a buddy thats got 2 half grey/bmc he runs them off the hood ther ok fast bay ok but r really hot nosed have to be realy close for them to come off . To me i dont really care for them as a find dog only , I know that they have pass by hog that were out there but the could not find them . I think that they would be good for help dogs they r fast be good to drop out of box on bay if need . But there a bigger dog and not as nible in the real bad brush and get cut and hit more . But thats just my thoughts

i have one...i love him. i use him as a rcd and let him run loose on the ground with the others. he is VERY fast and i good for open fields or woods not too thick as they are sight hounds and dont go by scent...i wouldnt sell mine for anything.they arent dogs for everyone....are you thinking about getting one? pm me your number and ill tell you a bit more about ol legs lol

and like everyone else said they are hot nosed...they arent ment for find dogs...and culls to me are the ones that bay.

I have one and have used him some. Several different ways. Ive run him in a cut collar, and Ive vested and led him. Just trying to decide the best way to hunt him without puttin him in toooo bad a situation. He definatley knows when its about to hit the fan. I can tell when a cur is gonna sound off just by watching him lol |

greyhounds r not a dog that just goes in and hangs on for dear life!! they will catch but not like a stagg or pit!! i woudnt use one just my opinion.

mine will hold on until he cant anymore...probably depends on the dog..but i also have apbt that i use..i just use my grey to catch up to those runners we cant catch. |

i dont mind if my grey doesnt see one while out because he runs with my curs....now if him AND my curs run by ill be pretty mad lol i just dont use mine to find so if hes alone out running he is most likely running one down and not worried about some bedded. |

I had a Gyp a while back an she would catch hard I donno if all are like that or not , just got one to breed to my stag an see what happens haven't put her on a hog yet
