It is a great song, but I under stand why you like it so much too. And their is know way I could work offshore! I like the good ol dirt under my feet. Everyone assumes its about the money. Yeah, he makes a good living for us and no I don't have to work. But it's so much more than that. Offshore oilfield is truly a family and I know, and have utilized, that I can call any of his bosses, or fellow co-workers at 1 in the morning and they will go wake him up because I need him. I know that I can call his boss and say "Maurice needs to be home by this date for this long with no interruption" and they will do whatever necessary to help me. Bill, his project manager is like a big brother to me. |

Slow down and think about what I said. Why would you ever think I was talking about money? If had a women singing such a song like this one to me I would love it also. I do think it is a great song. I have friends that work offshore and the company I work for has alot of offshore platforms like the Independance hub, but I sink like a rock in the water. So I wish to stay on land! I have worked in the oilfield most of my life. And for the record I am a corrosin tech for Enterprise and I office off FCR 691. I am sorry you took my comment wrong?
