Me, my wife Kim, son Eric, and friends Ray Ricky and Chale went to the maize fields for a hunt. We walked almost around the field before the dogs opened up about 100 yards in front of us. We turned two dogos loose and a few seconds later we heard a kind of growl. Ray said it sounded like a coon and I was thinking the same and then we heard a squeal. I told Ray it sounds like a shoat and then we got there and saw this nice boar. Our little pit/catahoula had him by the throat, a dogo on one ear, and another on his mouth had him a little distorted on his normal sounds! We tied him up to take him home, but he expired shortly after. Took him home to weigh him and he weighed in at 240 lbs with 2.5" teeth. A good hunt!  |

i think i would squeal too if a pit had me by the throat,lol. great story, and great hog trey!

NIce hog trey! The last big one I caught squealed like a shoat also. Only turned on catch dog loose at first, until I saw how big he really was  |

Sometimes they'll fool you... I hate it when them 100# boars are huffing and you think you've got a monster. Sounds like a good hunt, nice to see your wife and son out with you.
