Had to gather a handful of cattle out of a 4000 acre woods pasture, it was really too wet for the dogs to be any help and besides there was stud gators all over this place. But here is some pics for y'all.

My luck I'd be the one eaten by the gator, or them Florida snakes I hear bout.  I'll take the dust we got, around hear over that much water.

Josh i was down in Big Cypress on monday and it was at LEAST ankle deep everywhere.  I cant remember the last time there was this much water still on the ground by this time of year.

Real nice pictures, looks like some good memories were made.

I'd probably get ate by a gator myself.

Nice pics John, they definitely are not letting much water out right now and probably won't for a while....I would be petrified to swim my horse across that as brassy as the gators seem to be these days!

Key word is 'need' to, I had read where they were talking about letting it out but they must be doing it extra.slow because we live about 3miles from the lake and still have to wear rubber boots to get to the dog pens...the ground is so saturated that it is crazy.

We have a project down south that they have been holding water back on since Isaac 3 ft above 'normal' because they didn't want to let it out...I truly don't understand why in the h*** they don't send it down the canal into the STA's and Everglades instead of killing all of the estuaries.

I think the lake level was 15 something the other day and they want it at 12.5 or 13....that is a whole lotta water lol

i have heard they are holding back water to run into flood a orange grove in fellsmere like they  in indian river county for a new recreation area and  to limit the run off into the indian river lagoon , there trying to restore the sea grass so there there holdin all the water back thats one reason alot of the lakes are high around here not sure if thats effecting you folks
