Was hunting a place three weeks ago and, long story short, the deuce got out before we got a chance to gear him up, so I grabbed ginny and hauled but without gearing her up either. My Ginny dog, a young up and coming dogo I had, was killed by the boar we got on. Deuce had him caught for about ten min, I sent ginny and heard the hit, the boar tossed him when I was almost there and deuce could barely get up. After deuce rolled out in front of me, I look to the right and the boar just walked away with my cur dogs circling him and wearing him out. Look the the left and ginny was laying there, still alive but not good. I carried her out and was able to talk deuce into walking out and I got them to the vet. My buddy went back to shoot him three hours later while I was still at the vet, the boar caught wind of him, broke and wrecked lacy and floyd on the way out.

Deuce finally healed up enough to go back out, so we went after him this sunday. Struck him in the same place we did the time before. He walk and walked and walked on the cur dogs. It was a muddy mess so we couldn't get anywhere in the truck very fast, but he finally bayed up (big mistake) and we were able to drive up to about 600 yards. We mad our way there and my buddy who was trying to get some film busted the bay. He ran about 100 yards and then just kept on walking. We tried to keep up to lead the cd's in, but he was pulling away from us, so we cut them when he was a little over 150 yards away. We hauled butt behind them and got him legged and rolled. Got the dogs off and I made sure he had teeth on both sides. He did, so I stuck him (probable my first this year) and Im going to mount him. He was off the 300 lbs scale that we hung him on, but I am guessing him around 320 lbs. I wish we would have taken a bunch more (better) pictures but we were all hung over from the night before (went out with some buddies that came into town for the hunt *DUMB!*) and were just ready to get out of there after the chase.
