ive owned some plotts that would bay their own shadow. we hunted everything from deer to hogs with our dogs. even some trouble foxes and yotes when they would get in the hen house.

i like black and tans for their cold nose. but plott dogs are my thing. lost my best one recently and cant find any of her blood anymore. bob plott inspected her himself and said she was a fine specimen of the breed.

Those trees you callin slick could be squirrels or den trees. Don't get down on her.

x2 it could be a den. i would work her more and put a coon in a cage and get a long long long rope to where the dog cant see you and let her tree then. she will get used to being treed and someone coming up on her. my last black and tan had a habit of runnin off once i got there to go find another. i liked that he did that sometimes but i would enjoy to watch him tree for a sec.
