I was flipping a hog when I heard somone yelling to send more catch dogs. I looked over to see one big hog walking out with with pitbull earings on each ear and one on his back. Now I ain't bashing pits because I like them just fine. But after that night I wanted a Dogo. Just like in football you can't control the other player if your feet aren't on the ground. Why does it have to be Pit or Dogo why not Pit and Dogo?
So what your saying is that pansys that are skeerd to leg a hog with 3 catchdogs already on it own Dogos? Makes sense to me!!!  |

We got dogos and politicians, all we need now is on of them superior yeller dogs!!
what about the turbo charged supa superior mt. cur hog dog...  there aren't many around so that makes them special... |

I have a pogo which is 1/4 pit 3/4 dogo and he is far from slow if a hog breaks hes going with it and will come back with the other dogs if they comeback but i dont hunt short range dogs i hunt long range dogs so most of the time i go to them my pogo is fast not slow theres pits out there that is slow and boneheads and there are dogos out there that is fast...

One pit was never found. Maybe he is still locked onto that hog. That was a beast of a hog and he did not care about any dog. They were not my dogs. Like I said I like Pits so I am not bashing them. I am not sure why you need to bash Dogos. If you don't like them then don't get one. Me I will hunt with a Dogo, a Pit, or any other dog that will do the job. You give me a Poodle that will catch and I will hunt with it. |

If you don't even hunt with a dogo why bash them??? Is it because your broke and can't afford nothing more than a back alley pit....this is just like people say cats are better than ybmc or pure breeds beat crosses.... People hunt what they like just like you hunt the trash you like... Why don't you worry about your hunting style and the dogo fans will worry about there styles....

LOL man yall sounds like the guys around here about curs/hounds whos is better. Id like to try a dogo one day, but in the carolinas they arnt too many and the ones that are around probably arnt worth the money for a catch dog or a running catch dog. I like my cheap trashy back alley pitts. |

Once again I'll say that there certainly are crappy dogos out there.... I've hunted with plenty of awful catahoulas, curs, pits, ect. as well. And I mean worthless. Surely no one on here is dumb enough to think that if they hunted with 3 dogs from any one breed and they weren't any good then that is a representation of the entire breed. Surely no one is that dumb. I've hunted with tons of worthless black mouth curs out of a breeder often talked about on here and plenty of worthless catahoulas. I don't think they all suck... I'm not dumb enough to think that. I've owned more than one full blood pit that wouldn't even look at a hog after numerous trips to a pen and the woods. There are culls in every breed. As for the money... They are rare. That's how it goes. When the market is flooded the price will go down like it does with every other breed. If you want a cheap one then go buy an unregistered one that you don't know whats in it or someone's cull. If you want a good one then find a breeder that hunts their stock and talk to them. Go see their dogs hunt and see if you like them. You can talk all day about yellow dogs catching any hogs and pits doing the same... It's all BS. I've seen hogs more than once with a pit on one ear a dogo on the other, two catahoulas in the front and a yellow cur in the back and they all got there a$$ kicked. There is always a hog out there bigger than any dog. Buy what you like and what you can afford and go hunt it.

Boy if you have it must mean that all dogos suck... I've seen a dogo out hunt a catahoula, a plott, and a black mouth cur. Then he caught the pig while they ran around barking. Guess that means all those breeds suck... Come on. Surely you have a real arguement??
