Below is the email that I received today... I suspect it is a scam, anyone know if this is legit? I don't mind helping if it's real, but the writing does not look like something he would write..... Douglas Mason < masonda@aol.com> Urgent Issue!! Sorry to bother you with this. Am presently in Spain with my ill Cousin. She's suffering from a kidney disease and must undergo Kidney Transplant to save her life. I am deeply sorry for not writing or calling you before leaving, the news of her illness arrived to me as an emergency and that she needs family support to keep her going, I hope you understand my plight and pardon me. Kidney Transplant is very expensive here, so I want to transfer her back home to have the surgery implemented there, Am wondering if you can be of any assistance to me, I need about $2,000 to make the necessary arrangement; I traveled with little money due to the short time I had to prepare for this trip and never expected things to be the way it is right now. I'll surely pay you back once I get back home, I need to get her home ASAP because she is going through a lot of pain at the moment and the doctor have advised that she has to be operated on time to avoid anything from going wrong. I will really appreciate whatever amount you can come up with, if not all. get back to me asap. Thanks Douglas |

yeah its a scam, ive recieved the same thing from names in my email, somehow they get in and see your friends.

Just the choice of words is not him. "Implemented"  No Texan would use that word. Plus the surgery would cost much less in Spain than here. If it was so urgent he had to fly over there wouldn't it be urgent enough not to waste time trying to come back to here? |

I've seen the exact same email sent to a friend off another hog dogging site from one of his close friends.

if you opened it and read it you might want to do a scan on your computer and make sure there wasn't a virus attached .

I have heard that if u reply to the emails like that that is when the bug gets into your email and the scammer can send the same crap to all of your contacts. It is probably obama!

Another scam going around is people listing stuff on Craigslist. They list a 4 wheeler or UTV for a cheap price, the posting will be local, then when you contact them they have moved 1/2 way across the country, usually a "woman" replies and states that she got the unit in a divorce, then the person wants you to put 1/2 the money down using a EBay "escrow" account, and they'll ship the unit. I've had this happen twice in the last week... The 2nd time the person moved from Dallas to Jacksonville, FL and I replied that I had a good buddy that lived in a near by town and he would stop by and check the unit out and pay for it in cash if the unit was everything stated. The person starts hee-hawing about it being crated this that and the other and wont let you come see it... It's a crying shame there are people that want to STEAL rather than getting off their lazy @sses and work like the rest of us!!!
