last saturday night went out and was driving threw a ranch when the rigg dog alarmed and wanted out so I stopped and at first Foreset was just miling around not to excited so I just sat back and gave him time then next thing I knew he was gone and moving away fast on the garmin 600 700 900 .50 .75 then went to baying is but off I drove arouind to get closer and was about 700 yards so I dumped another dog to him and he to went to baying knowing my dogs I knew this was a fighter I remembered another road that could get me closer so I headed that away fianally I was only 280 yards to the bay but could barley hear them baying I got geared up to start walking dumped the rest of my dogs and headed for them quick the rest of the pack was there and still they all were baying so I knew it was a good hog now just 40 yards away I released the catch dog and the fight was on still no sound from this pig other than a couple wolfs I rushed inand tis boar wasd in a big wollow under a big mesquite and was now stretched out so his experation date was up

This always gets me to wondering... You said you caught him in " a big wollow under a big mesquite"... Do you think the dog "stopped" him there or that's where the hog decided to stop??
