I havent got to many chances to hunt lately but i got to make a run with Wyatt "WW-CC" two weeks ago and got to take my cousin Derrid with me to kill his first hog. We dropped my Tiger and Penny and Wyatts Rope and another one of his pups...wasnt long before all dogs got piggy and started covering ground fast and set down just over 1000 yards. So we drove around to them and got within 200 so we started to them on foot..could hear that it was a big group of hogs so we sent brute and sookie and hogs busted in every direction. we ran up in there and i got to watch sookie hit a 120lb spotted sow that tiger still had himmed up and then and tiger and Wyatts pup caught out with her. Wyatt yells at me and tells me that he had just seen a big boar hog run right by him with penny hanging off of his ear..so i checked my garmin and it said i had lost her and 900 to the west and ole rope had rolled off and showed treed at .6 to the north on the neighbor...we stuck the hog and started calling to get permission to go over onto the property. By this time Tiger had rolled out to 900 on the same neighbor and was hammering down. Next thing i know i get a call from my wife saying that the rancher to the west had picked up penny at his gate so we left Tiger and rope Baying and drove 3 miles to pick penny up then headed to a county road that we could get alot closer to rope on. On the way to him i almost hit tiger running across the highway so we loaded him up and drove to 400yds from rope and headed in with the cds. By this time rope had been baying this hog in the same spot for 2 hours and had a coyote baying with him. We sent the cds from 100 yds and sealed the deal on another sow about 200 lbs
this is the only pic i got that night of derrid with his first kill..not very good pic but better than nothing

Thursday night Cody and I loaded up Tiger, Penny, Tuff, and Sookie and headed back out to the same ranch. We dropped Tiger and Penny just after dark and started roading. After about thirty min Penny took a track off a stock tank to 300 yd and starting hammering down and set off the loudest sounder i have ever heard. there were atleast 30 to 40 hogs in this group we walked in to 30 yards and cut sookie loose. She went in and they all caught on this big spotted sow once i legged the hog tiger rolled out and i lost him at .9 on the neighbor a to the north again. we could hear him baying so we loaded everyone back up and tried to drive closer but ended up only getting to .5 from him and started to him on foot. but as soon as we headed to him he quit baying after about an hour so we waited for another 15 min and he finally came back so we called it a night.
Penny was a proud pup to find that big group of hogs over tiger
