Past three hunts have been dry. Blamed my dogs for the first two. Dont know what happened on the last one but my saddle back got a fire lit under his ass. He was gone 4-6 times 400-1000 yards. Nothing came out of it but...........improvement from before. Geuss the pigs moved out of the area we are hunting for the time being.
Almost ready to cut back hunting for a month or so and work on two pups I have. Have 2k of corn to hunt but it is still alittle early around here it looks like.

I've had a couple lately, between the rain washing everything out and the hogs just not moving/being there.... better than sitting at the house though.  May try and make another dry run this evening actually Grin

What little hunting I've been doing lately has been pretty un-productive as well.

Bump finally felt sorry enough for me and invited me down Sunday night to one of his "good" places.  We ended up catching three, but I paid for it the next day.  Just can't run on three hours sleep like I used to!  I'm still trying to get right...

MAN I COMPLETLY STOPPED GOING TO ONE OF MY PLACES BECAUSE THE HOGS JUST VANISHED. ONE WEEK I COUNTED 30 AND THE NEXT NOT EVEN A FESH TRACK TO RUN. IT KINDS DRY BUT THERE ARE 2 TANKS IN THE BACK THAT STAY FULL OF WATER. I WISH I KNEW WHAT HAPPENED

I have been pretty lucky lately but even at that place I thought we should catch 3 or 4 by the time we caught the first one.

I think Im going to start hitting the mornings. Caught one yesterday evening at dusk. It was a short race but Bart almost overheated. Scared me a little.

Me and Mule Man have been haveing alot of trouble finding the hogs to, but I been doin a little lookin and askin and I think the hogs around me are just moveing to property's around the one's that I have permission to hunt so I've been tryin to get on some other spots where they are movein to...... Man I hate dry runs but I also have to agree that just bein out with the dogs is better than watchin tv.

Craig,

A "dry run" is when your hunting along for several hours and suddenly realize you've run out of beer.

That IS what everyone's talking about, isn't it?

I know that's right.  I can recall a hunt in particular several years ago where we got home and I couldn't get either one of you fools to wake up and get out of my truck.
