Went to make a round with Lee and William this evening, no hogs home but as we came around a corner saw something big lumbering away from us.  As we got closer, this is what we found....

I'll let your imagination fill in the ending.... Grin

I don't like that sheepish grin and the hands rubbing together there, Noah.  But if your typing and telling us about it, then I suppose there was a happy ending!   Grin

Don't want to hijack the thread but here's one for those boys in Texas of one they found at the Orlando Airport.  Measured 18'2" google it.  Wouldn't want to run up on this guy. Shocked

Son of a.............................Just not what I expected!!!!

I see gators all the time in Texas but me and my dogs haven't scrapped with them yet. I hope to keep it that way!!!

Ive never ridden any either but I did a little rain dance around a 3 footer years ago hightailing it to a bay. I still get the creeps when I think about that thing and it was a baby!!!

Lee's wife Kim just sent this to us, thought it would fit in nicely Wink

Dog Pack Attacks Gator In Florida

At times nature can be cruel, but there is also a raw beauty, and even a certain justice manifested within that cruelty.

The alligator, one of the oldest and ultimate predators, normally considered the "apex predator", can still fall victim to implemented 'team work' strategy, made possible due to the tight knit social structure and "survival of the pack mentality" bred into the canines.

See the remarkable photograph below, courtesy of Nature Magazine.

Note that the Alpha dog has a muzzle hold on the gator preventing it from breathing, while another dog has a hold on the tail to keep it from thrashing.

The third dog attacks the soft underbelly of the gator.

Not for the squeamish............. (next page)
