I would stay away from custom collars. I am in alabama where there located and never heard a good thing about them. We all run swamp dawg and love them. They have great customer service and fast delivery. Drew knows what he is doing and every vest is custom made and never seen a problem fitting or a cut through on any of them.

Try the run n catch vest from hard core hog dogs... You won't be disappointed I've tried all mostly all the vest companies and hard core has yet to deceive me or my dog. Talk to mike he will help you out and as far as delivery they are fast too. Their vest are flexible light and very strong you can't go wrong I own the beast from hardcore and my catch dog hasn't been cut since

I have a very rough cur dog. He is tall and slender build. Curious on which vest. the full bay vest or 3/4 vest. Looking at hardcore.

All his vest pretty much weigh the same LT we have a tank vest, beast, and strike vest from hardcore and they all weigh about the same amount except for the beast which has an extra layer of Kevlar but its barly noticeable. For a rough cut I'd go with the R.C.V run n catch vest add an inch to the front and back if he's leggy and your set. If he catches alot I'd recommend leg flaps too they help. I love their gear and service I have yet to find better protection for our dogs it's the best in my opinion

I have never had to run a vest on a cur dog but I have heard of dogs getting hung up in a briar thicket and is my biggest concern.
