This is a pup named worm  out of a dog i have named smoke, the best on my yard and a gyp that Mr. Witherspoon owns. Both will bay cattle or hogs. Anyhow, worm is just over 8mths old and I toted him on his first hunt a week or 2 ago. When i got him as a pup he was wild as a hair, i gave him quite a bit of attention and rode him around the neighborhood on the fourwheeler alot when he was younger. He sat in the buggy with 8 other dogs and never acted a fool, i realy think all the past 4 wheeler rides helped out a bunch.......when i put him on the ground for the first time ever in the woods with other dogs he did great, he ranged out to over 700yds with my gyp and by the time we made it to the bay he was already there. I didnt get to watch him much due to the hog. I just wanted to brag on him a bit even though it was only his first hunt. I am planning on hunting next saturday and sunday pending the weather. Deer season is finally over ladies and gentlemen! My spots are open again, its on! I will attempt to do a semi live hunt next saturday in newton for the hell of it. Anyway heres some pics of ol wormy.
And happy hunting!
6 weeks old

10-11 weeks

4 1/2-5 months

And now at just over 8 months

I remember a point in time where worm was gonna be the first of 3 to go.  Now he's the only one left.

Alot of things I am guilty of but kennel blindness ain't one of em. I knew I needed to handle some things so the less desireable needed to go, I will be the first to admit that junior was my favorite from early on but things change and you gotta change with em. I didn't care much for worm at first, I really thought his brother would outshine him and he still may, he ain't on my yard now but he is about as close as he can be to it.........i'll be keepin tabs on juniors progress as well and he is always there if I need to breed. I put ALOT of time into worm to work on his handling and it paid off big time, he hit the ground at 100mph on his first hunt, above and beyond what I hoped for. Lol, Mr. James or Mrs. Dinah can attest to him, after all the dust settled and we started tendin to dogs I turned around and he and bonnie were sittin 5' from me just lookin at me..........some people may want their dogs to just role out immediately but givin the situation we were dealing with I couldn't have asked for em to handle any better for me. Josh, you and colby both know how wild he was so you know what i'm talkin about when I say he has made a 180 as far as attitude goes. He comes on command and is generally all around a pretty good pup, I hope he grows as old as smoke and see 1/2 the hogs smoke has........all thats left now is the easy part..........feed em tracks and let em do what they were bred to.......cream will rise to the top!

He was a wild one and I could see a huge difference last time I was down.  I think he should turn out to make you a fine dog.  Time will tell brother.

I d have to agree I can remember when we got him cornered finally and put on that chain. He's a damn fine lookin dog and if he's anything like smoke you know he ll turn out. Hell he's born to do it.
