Question? Do u put something over the good for the dogs to stand on? Besides the loss of paint a hot hood I would think it would blister their feet. I know my dogs play hot foot in the bed during summer.

A bad day of hunting is better than a good day at work. I'll trade you!!!! Good pics Monty, I'm sure you will have some pork stacked before the end of the weekend.

I have heard of folks hunting like this but never seen it done. My guess is u just ease around and when the dogs catch wind they bail. I could probly do this type thing around the farms I hunt. We put dogs down and road them. I would figure over larger areas this method works better cause the dogs are fresh when they catch wind.

Dang Monty, Sure wish I lived closer to you. Looks like I sure could enjoy that style of hunting . Beats the heck out of walking around
in the marshes and swamps where I live.

That's for sure. Hunted this past weekend in Mississippi. First time I hunted without hip boots. My dogs were so happy to be hunting on high ground every time they would make a loop they would swing by and kiss me.lol

We did the same, we done a lot of driving to get there and we walked 7 miles , the dogs covered about 17 miles and seen a turkey and some old sign.  No hogs this time but still better than work x2

The "Hog Bomb" must have gone off...and killed all the hogs.... Grin

Seriously though, I am seeing the same things here in Fla. Fewer hogs on places I hunt. You just can't kill every boar, sow and pig for years on a place and not have it affect the population. I understand about crops and how the hogs can affect a farmers income. But when you eradicate the hogs and can't find any to hunt......you may have to take up another hobby. Wish the younger guys would think about this before they stick that pregnant sow on a place they could turn it loose........
