Yea little cat pup. Got it stopped with blood stop powder and some gauze pads pressed on it vet said she should be fine just got a vessel going to her ear and what I did was probably the best thing that coulda been done given the circumstances. Got it wrapped up and with fresh clean gauze and she's good to go. Thanks Arhogdogs right on with it boy it looks terrible though they bleed bad

I took some blood stop powder and put it all over the gauze I had and taped it to her head sealed it up after a bit it hasn't started bleeding again yet...

Blood stop powder is good for small stuff but be careful using it on larger cuts it basically cooks the outer layer of the cut and will stunt the healing process extremely. Those vein pokes do look bad and cause bad infections but you know how to handle em now

How about corn starch?  Used to dip nails in it if I cut trimmed them too close but never tried it for blood stop....anyone tried it?

This stuff doesn't seem to burn the skin or anything just kinda mats up and helps form a clot the way it looks got it from a local feed store. I've heard of the kind that burns the wound but this stuff doesn't seem to be doing that. I've used it twice so far last time on the same dog when a beaver walked up in the yard and bit her on the leg and this time on this poke. Starting to put a little faith in it seems to do a really nice job

I keep celox in my cut bag. No burn and works well. It's a lil high but effective.
