Chance invited Erik, Mathew, Nick and I to come up and hunt the same ranch T-Bob hunted with him Thursday. It was over in Marlin in some beautiful open country. It's fun when the dogs can really stretch out and run like the wind. Chance hunted all of his dogs the day before and tied 11. Plan today was to hunt most of ours. We turned out Goose & Jett. Within minutes they had one squealing. For the next four hours we stayed in hogs tieing one after the other. We ended up with somewhere between 9 & 11. We tied hogs in the woods and just kept rolling with the dogs, in the end couldn't even remember where they all were lol



We caught one freak nasty, with the best teeth any of us have ever caught. It had 6.5" whetters; 4 1/8" &  3 7/8" bottoms. And the girth was larger than anything I've seen. This hog hunted every group of other hogs it could find, sluffing off one dog and walked/trotted on the dogs for a long way!! Cward got to see the whole thing from start to finish. I had the go-pro on for the first time. I double clicked the button and missed the whole last 1/2 mile chase and catch which I thought I was recording. Mathew tackled this hog like a littke freight train after Libby & Hooey locked down.

Ive caught some good ones with nice teeth.  None were ever worth mounting in my opinion.  If I caught that one, would mount for sure.  Nice job.

Well my friends i enjoyed the hunt very much. Thanks for enviting me. Tony id rather be called Little Freight Train than Little Ricky Anyday. And just FYI my wife said there is nothing little about me. Ha.

Im still trying to remember if we left any hogs tied.lol
This was a first for me. Well I seen two dogs come by me one was Ruby then the next was Libby. The Ruby can cover some ground quick and in a hurry. I was trying to keep up on my horse. Well they set up and bayed. I could see it was a good hog but couldn't tell what it was. Looked like a sow. The hog broke and ran. I was staying with the hog and dogs through the woods. The hit a bed of hogs but stayed with the first hog. I circled to drive the hog in the direction I wanted it. The two dogs were giving plenty of room but working great. I had seen the teeth on this hog and called and said bring two bulldogs. Now if you know me you never hear me say that if I can catch a hog without any I prefer it. Eric and crew are trying to locate where I am as I really don't know how to tell them how to get to me. My dog captain shows up to me he is my cowdog  He falls in a lead potion on this hog and he was giving all kinds of action on the front end of this hog trying to make it slow down it was working. I was driving the hog back to open country when Matt and Tony made it to me. The hog hit some open woods that I knew on the other side was a field. I was going wide to try and rope the hog if it hit the field. Tony and Matt fell in behind it. HugE was coming in a hurry down the road made it to the field and sent the catch dogs. They caught Matt hit the hog like he was trying to win a rodeo.lol Got the hog tied. We were all gooing and goeing over the teeth  The rancher decided he wants to mount the hog we kill it this is win we realize it is a sow. Yes a sow.  I have never seen anything like this but it still amazes me.

Thats one hell of a hunt there .  I tell ya thats a first for me to see a sow with teeth like that and the wetters is what blows me away .  A sow dammit boy hope she has some offspring running around out there woooo weeeee.
