Sean, Matt and I had an outdoor film crew with us yesterday morning. It could not have worked out any better with the footage we got.  Sammy and Cheyenne struck the hog about 50 yards from the trucks. The boar swam the river and bayed on the opposite river bank, ended up back in the river with four curr dogs on him. Finally got away from the dogs and swam back across. Walked up a feeder creek about ten yards from us wore out from the swim. Sent Clifford in and he hit him like a sledge hammer... it was beautiful! Grin

Stay tuned for more details!!!!!!!!!!

That's awesome.  Producing under the pressure of the film crew makes it even more awesome.  Good job!!!!

This was a really fun hunt!!!  The funniest part was having to do multiple takes of stuff like unloading the atv's and collaring up the dogs.  Sean and I got a good laugh when, after running to the bay and standing on the edge of the river bank with very serious looks on our face, were asked by the camera man who was now standing in front of us to go back up the trail and run towards him HAHAHA.  We both kinda looked at each other like WTF?  That is in no way knocking the crew though, they were really nice and professional and hung in there like a couple of pros.  I would hunt with either of them again no problem.  I am really glad we didn't have to go swimming, these four dogs together are usually pretty smart but they had this hog cought for a while before he made his second trip into the river and nearly had him drowned, they worked him over real hard, I think they were showing off for they camera  Wink

Here are a few pics of the hog up close after being gutted he was really fat and healthy....

Mike,
Thank you guys for doing this for me, I spent the day with them and got them up and sent them your way, sorry they got lost.
Glad you'll had a good hunt and they have a lot of story on film from Texas and finishing up at Wild Boar USA this week.

Thanks again for your help, put story and pictures on TDHA board.

shoot craig, i think clifford is gonna be the star!lol. you should have seen him slam that boar, and the cameraman was right there getting it all!
and all the dogs did such a great job. old sammy popped his head up and bolted off down a trail to the left with cheyenne and the others in tow. then they all crossed the river, and they worked that hog as hard as i've ever seen dogs work a hog before. if it wasn't for their heart, that hog might have never swam back to our side. my hats off to the dogs! we use kite string for those and save the mule tape for the big boys!

It would have made a better show if Mike would have whipped out the Kite string and tied that little puppy for the camera Shocked Grin

Thanks everyone! It could not have turned out better than it did.

Mr. Mason, i'll get it posted on the TDHA board tonight... for some reason I can't log on from here? I'm glad those boys didn't drive all the way to Austin before they called me! Grin

Everyone stayed tuned for the details... it may be a couple of months.

NICE Movie Star...  I have one hunt on tape, I had a production guy contact me that lived in plano and after producing one hog dog video. He wanted to do it again but closer to him which i was. Well he came out and we went to a 7000 acre place and it was in the summer and it was hot and humid. We started the hunt and man that dang camera was in my FACE. I could not stand it well  we interviewed and we bayed a group or 30 or so Shoalts. Well make a long story short we ran pigglets all day and we looked like we swam the river and tired and was sick of that camera in my face. We called it quits and after a few emails i decided not to go through with it. It is hard work. So i applaude you guys it is difficult.
