Well I got my three breedings done .  All to do now is just wait and see what happens .  Got this Partin Fla Dog bred to three great gyps .  Whitey , Hannah Montana and my Bell gyp the Lacy.  Whitey is a daughter of my old Blu gyp and Hannah is a grandaughter of old Blu gyp.  Hannah is also a daughter of CO. who is a liter brother to my old Lil Ann gyp who is my Horn dogs mother all heavy Joe breeding .  I figured I would just get it all over with at one time hell I been looking for the just right male to cross all these gyps on now for a long long long time had to be bred right and had to be right himself that takes a while to say the least they dont come every day Plus this Cracker dog is ruff customer and one lucky lick and he is gone even with the best vest on  .  I can promise you one damn thing am done breeding for a long long while.  Its going to be a dang headacke. I will keep mine out of each one and I got plenty of friends that some are going to and a few out of these breedings I will sell to real hunters I want there asses hunted off  just to get my money back on the expense and my time and trouble it cost to do all of this it aint easy folks .  Am done !

From what I know about you you have a reason cor breeding the way you do but do you not feel uour putting a lot of eggs in one basket with the fl cur not knowing what he will produce.  I have sorta kept up with him in your posts and like the idea of him a lot. Im not criticising kust asking. From what I know about you you seem to be jumping in pretty quick.

Well when a person has bred as many dogs as I have in the B Dog business when you get a gut feeling like I have a dog you go with it because I have learned if you dont you will live to regret it and regret it bad  I have seen my share  .  Plus if some have seen what I have seen and a couple others from this dog it would be a hex of a lot eaiser to understand .   This dog has picked up all of this as fast are faster than most I have ever seen  ,  he hunts very well ,  he is very smart , he is bred right and bred to produce, he comes from a  great line dogs that were bred to work not BS ,  he is ruffer than two kinds of hell but he is smart and he is on the ear every time .  His second hunt he was with my Bell dog that tracked down that big boar hog , Bell barked and I never heard him say a word still have not and we went to them got to the creek on the bank this dog had this big hog caught by the ear ,  Bell and Blu on his butt and this dog was laid up on the side of this boar hog like he was part of his hair .  The next hunt we stop several bigger hogs he is on all of them not much running at all and on the ear every time .  All of the hunts he has been on  have all been just like this were he has been able to be at the hog there is hardly no running and the hog has been  stopped of course he is hunting with some good dogs that help  also but he is the main factor in why they are not running no doubt about it he is damn near a replica of my old Blu bitch when she was in her prime as far as stopping hogs  .  Good example is the running boar hog that we ran for 6 hrs the other day he was not there because i got a vest ordered for him and dont want to risk loosing him till I get it ,  result big boar hog running all day long .  Another example is the one we chase for a long while and I ended up shooting in all those briars you could hardly walk threw he was not on that one .  He does not  hang around he is gone with the main dogs and it is just a matter of time till he is findhing his own hogs but that is not what am after am after the stopping power this dog has shown I got dogs that find hogs if he can throw the stopping power that his kind is known for  I will be a very happy camper and I see no reason why he will not after talking to the people I have talked to and seen what I have seen from this dog myself .  Could it go bad sure but I would be willing to bet a lot its gonna hit and hit hard .  If not 22's are real cheap and I aint shy !  No one is at risk here and more than most all are spoken for with out a dime being spent given  .  One are two from each liter will be sold thats all to  people that might like to take a chance for hardly noting just for me to cover all this BS  .  If that aint worth a chance on some great family breeding on both sides of the fence then I dont know what to say . I love breeding dogs its what I have done for 30
 years this is noting new to me at all ,  Am I a gambler you damn right am but I stack the odds  !

I like the odds. If it does'nt work out then oh well, it was worth a try. There's one thing about the Joe x Leggs dogs that is in your favor and that is that if you breed them to a good dog then it usually turns out good. They seem to really pass on their good traits and add the good traits from the outcross.

You are sure right Lance.  You know I see people on here all the time discussing all about these hogs running and running myself included at times.  These breedings are not about finding hogs its about getting them stopped thats the key.  I don't have no trouble finding hogs and am sure most on here don't but what is the one thing we all have had trouble with STOPPING THESE GOT DAMN RUNNING HOGS !  Well if most are like me a 1/2 Bulldog and 1/2 cur is just to much some like them but most don't .  Am not going to waste one of my prime brood bitches by breeding to a bulldog then spend another one are two breedings trying to cut it down thats all BS man !

Thats what these breedings are about breeding cur dogs and cur dog traits with great ability to find hogs but with the emphases and concentrating on putting the stopping power in these cur dogs without all the bulldog being bred in them .  If we can all agree we need cur dogs that can stop hogs like the bulldogs can but with out all the dat blame bulldog headaches .   Am not knocking bulldogs its just that there is a way to breed around this we just ain't found it yet.  The Fla Cur dogs are Partin dogs are known for this stopping power but are still a cur bred cattle hog dog well the key is being able to grab this gene and to put it into my dogs is it easy hell no it ain't easy are everybody would have them.   How do you do this well the only way I know is you breed the number 2 out of it until you find the click and that click is there some were it just might take a little time to find it and get it involved into another gene pool .  But once its there baby its there you just got to stack it and make it potent .  But the baby steps is you got to breed to find out .  Am after it myself .  I might find it I might not but am willing to bet I can get pretty dang close if not grab it  and all along the way have good dogs coming out of these breedings till its found .   Culls sure you gonna have them just like anything else but ain't that what breeding is about keeping the best and culling the rest .  You keep stacking that gene it will become dominate sooner are later !  Proponent !

The way I look at it purebreed is I dont have noting to loose and everything to gain .  Like I was saying am not breeding this as a great hog finding liters but am sure they will do really really well at it   .  I have dogs that find hogs but what I do have but I dont at the same time is the real ass chewing , nut jerking , stop and hold  are if you got to catch the bad boar hog kinda dogs to get him stopped .  My dogs do well we get a lot of hogs but our trouble as with many many  is on these big big boars is holding and stopping the running .  Now use to it was not much problem when Ole Blu was in her younger years she would stop and hold some hogs that would make your head spin along with CJ , War Dog and that crew all dead not but ole Blu.   Ole Blu throws some ruffness in her dogs but in order for me to really get dogs back like she was I would have to really really heavy breed her back into her line and she is just to old now and I did not breed her that much to be able to do that  damn shame,  which was a mistake !!  To busy catchin hogs I guess thinking things would last forever you know.   I said when I found another one like her and was bred from great line of dogs as she was and bred right heavy family bred I would not let it happen again .  Enter the Partin Fla dog .  He reminds me of her its overwhelming really .  I see her in him and what he is doing its like Da Jaa Voo.  Well am not going to make the mistake I made with her with him.  So its him on her and as heavy and I can get it . If it clicks look out and I have a major gut feeling it will something just tells me do it do it do it .

So I have all he has in him and his line of great dogs to gain which is a damn lot from what I have seen and I really love what he has to offer and my gut tells me I will get it  but if not I have not lost a thing but time  .  I still have all my dogs that are just fine the way they are and I will never alter them but if he can give me what he's got and put it into my dogs its Katy bar the damn door !   So I have noting to loose and everything he has in him to gain .   Just the way I think myself.
