If you get burned by a dog peddler you deserved it.....wake up....open your eyes.....smell the roses. The same people would be the type to go to thailand on a date and then complain when ol' lady boy whips out some extra parts.
Lol, wasnt expectin that but it makes sense!

well since were talkin about dog peddlers lets talk about some of you nice folks that buy dogs.when i sell a pup for good money i try to garante a pup that he or she will bay most my pups start baying at 3months.if they arent they go to pasture if you know what i mean. had a man buy two pups both were baying pigs when i sold them.he calls 3 months later said that one wasnt any good he wanted a different pup told him to bring the pup back and i would give him another. he tells me he shot the pup then i tell him hes out of look i have to get the bad pup back sorry cant help him. he then calls me about 1 month later looking for a finished dog i asked how the pups were doing? he said both were doing great he liked both of them. i confronted him and asked why he lied about shooting the pup?OH I got her mixd up with another pup that i bought. RIGHT SURE YOU DID. HONESTY GOES A LONG WAY I WILL NOT SELL THIS PERSON ANOTHER DOG

i like this one. (plott 4 mnths old gritty, silent ! ya its silent cause it aint huntin yet !
or this one...he has found 2 hogs but all he needs is more woods time...that's a red flag...to me a good young dog should be finding hogs on a regular basis...

Started dog will bay in pen. A chihuahua will bark at a pig in a pen. It's hard for me to believe most folks selling anything much less dogs. Money is hard to come by and I will do all I can to ensure I get what I pay for.

Some of these dog peddlers are good at what they do. You never hear about any of them getting the crap beat out of them. Their are 2 or 3 in east texas that have screwed over alot of people, one day they will get whats coming to them. I just cant see spending 1000 to 2000$$ and never see the dog hunt.

If I sell I dog I guarantee that I sold a dog! What gets me is when you ask $200-$300 for a dog and the buyer wants a trial.. Really a trial for that amount! I've bought dogs off of here myself and some work for me and some dont.

Yea really. If the person sells it as a specific type, the buyer should be able to put it through its paces. Do u got a car lot, buy a car/tck n not drive to make sure its handles the way u expect it to, and in the manner the dealer says? It dont matter if its $100 or $100,00, the buyer should be able to confirm or disprove what is being advertised, its that simple. To many times people read where a person got burned bc they took the word of the seller n didnt test drive the dog n then its, oh well u bought, deal with it. The words honesty, a hand shake and mans word have been folded over, their butts wiped n flushed down the toilet. Untill iv met n talked with a person several times, i dont trust ANYBODY as far as i could thrown an abrhams tank and i expect the same treaty, to many thieves and liars in the world today, so yea, REALLY.

A guarantee that a dog will bay a pig really means nothing..! I have seen a lot of dogs that will bay a pig but wont hunt...A LOT.. Hell our Min Pin will bay a hog but she darn sure wont find you one.. Blows my mind that so many people sell and somebody buys (obviously) an advertised "HELP" dog. I have gave away many of them through this site that should have sold for a few hundred bucks going by the dog trade etiquette. Soon as the ad is posted my phone is blowing up...

I bought penny from Texas hog dogs- Jimmy in the woods she was amazing everything i wanted and more i have had her for dang near a year now and she is flat out hog crazy jimmy has some very very good dogs and bloodline going he is definitely a man i will stay close to and in contact with! Cause i know if i needed a good dog i can call him up and get me one! I might have to bother him about it for a few days but i know he would hook me up with a good dog in a heart beat he is a damn good guy and knows dogs! Thanks Jimmy there will always be room on my yard for some of that Joe line!

$1 - $1000, it doesn't matter. If your saying a dog can and will do something than a trial is no big deal. It's only a big deal if your "stretching" the truth.

people are always going to peddle dogs , good dogs are few and far between and to make one takes alot of time and learning for you and the dog and unless that man hits hard times or the dog not his style the dogs are not sold , most dogs sold are pups or dogs people are giving up on , culls or the dog peddler that dont know but listens to you and sells you what you want but not really , its been talked about alot over the years on here , hunt the dog first , trial bases , know the dog , or take it in tha butt

all the dogs on here i sell are started, like they said earlier started doesnt mean bay one in a pen, i mean if you really want to start a dog you take it to the woods and let it find three or four hogs in a row, thats when its considered a started dog and you can sell it as one.

A small pup shouldn't have to be guaranteed and that is understandable...but I prefer to buy a couple of small pups before I buy a year old dog because I believe that most dogs are for sale because they lack something...I would rather take a chance on a few well bred pups because I have as good of a chance of getting the best one from the litter as anyone else...

Amen Reuben! As far as most dogs posted lacking something...that's the truth for the most part...but their are exceptions.
I listed a gyp a few weeks back. She was a sister out of a pair I had. Right at a year old. My favorite dog in my yard as far as straight looks. Blue leopard w/ red trim...leggy...big block head. GOOD LOOKIN, Strong gyp. She was just showing me that she was gonna be rougher than what I like and she didn't hunt that well. Would go out with other pups but always the first to check back in...then she would hang around till the other dogs showed back up and go out again. She honored a bay and caught w/ the CD every time. Even caught with a couple other gyps without the CD once.
Anyway...listed her just as i described her and moved her to a guy out west an hour or so. He hunts a strike dog and 3 RCD's. She was exactly what he was looking for. He has hunted her a few times and LOVES her!
My rambling point is...you can find what your lookin for alot of times on the dog trade but you just gotta be careful.
