I built a 40x50' barn house part is shop.  My slab cost roughly $15000. 7" thick top with 24"x14" wide outer beam with 2- 50'x24"x14"  and 3-50'x24"x14" interior beams.  Each beam had 6-5/8 pieces of rebar with a 12" grid on top with 3/8 rebar.   I could have paid some one to do it and got it for $13000.  But they werent going to beef it up as much so I did it by myself literally.

concrete is about 100$ per yard depending on psi, fiber and location. but i usually figure roughly 100$ a yard when i do something around the house. if the only load bearing walls are external just figure a footing around exterior, about 23 foot of a 8" deep by 12" wide footing below 4" slab depth is 1 yard and for the slab 84 sq. ft. is a yard if poured 4" deep. if you pay to have it poured you can about figure labor will be close materials so just figure double. also if ground is somewhat unlevel or you want it raised up higher you may have to pour a footer and lay a block stemwall and backfill to get level desired. i have built plent of auto centers 4" thick as long as ground underneath is sound and compressed properly and you cut enough joints you shouldnt have any trouble. but as stated above a lil over kill wont hurt. bigger exterior footings and a 6" slab would be a lil overkill in my opinion and i dont know how tight with money you are but you get the idea. all depends on building type and really load of vehicles being used on it, plus carlifts, metal post, interior load bearing walls, etc. may require other footings inside.

dont pay more than 7 a sq. you can even get it cheeper if you do rough in yourself .ie plumbing, frame, rebar, etc. its not hard then get good mix, you can order straight from concrete company. then get guys to do it and save big money. im a contractor and thats how i do it. i charge 7 a foot bust out and repour for driveways et.
