To be honest all I can say is I just put this dog in the woods a lot as a pup. and trained him on commands. The hunting and treeing was natural as a pup. I just did a little fine tuning on his handle. A great dog.

Well if a squirrel went in a hole on a tree he would want to stay at the tree. So I pushed him to keep hunting once I told him in a hole. And he would sometimes leave a tree as soon as he saw you to go tree again. So I taught him to stay at a tree until the squirrel was killed or in a hole. And to retrieve the squirrel. Not really many other commands other than for him to listen really well. I mean he has a great handle on him.
