Outside dogs only. I don't go lay around in their house so I don't expect them to come lay in mine lol.

That aint no kidding, my catdo terrorizes my wife everyday. She wont listen to my wife and i keep tellin her thst if she dont set a pecking order with the pup, its gonna be he!! when gets full grown. Any good advise for my wife? She has tried spanking her and popping her in the mouth for biting and spook thinks its play time and she get more playfully aggressive. I can pop her and get a stern voice with spook and she listens. Are dogos  a 1 dominent owner type dog?

Our dogos are the same way. My pops and I make sure they know that we are the boss. There's a time for play but when we say quit they better quit. My stepmom has no control over them. She babies them. They jump all over her, they pull when she walks them. I think it has a lot to do with showing them youre the leader from a young age. Dogos are a very dominate breed. If they think you're below them they will not respect you.

On that note dodgegirl and fixitlouie, spook has asserted dominance over my wife. She aint but 3-4mth old, so i guess my wife better lay down the pecking order asap.

i made the mistake of bonding with my male when he was very young. I needed to make sure that he knew that I was the boss. I should have made sure that WE were the boss. I was thinking of having him neutered to curve the leg raising, my wife wants to have me neutered for different reasons.lol:o

I think you need to bond with them. But you also need them to know that everyone in the "human" pack is above them. Dogos are very loyal dogs. Once they know their place they will do everything possible to please you.

there are plenty of techniques. your wife NEEDS to show dominance ASAP. like most breeds of this type will grow up thinking he can only listen to you. and left like this at 2 yrs super hard to handle. pm me and i will tell you what i did to my boy. he is hard headed.
