I keep most of my dogs as they are puppies in the house till they start getn to big and then outside they gotta go. My dogs are part of my family and they r welcome inside. I wouldnt kick most of my human family out in the elements, so why kick mans bedt froend and family out?

We keep 100lb plus dog in the house. Let me first say that I'm very funny about smells in my house. He is 100% house broke, gets a bath regularly with dawn ( because their body oils smell), I wash his bedding regularly, and besides the regular vaccuming, mopping, and dusting, I air the house out frequently. He has been in the house for over a year and so far we don't have a problem with dog odor. Having him in the house requires extra work and effort but he is so worth it. I sleep just fine at night when my husband is working nights knowing that he would maul anyone who enters our house uninvited. Best security system ever.

Guess I have a sensitive sniffer.  Grin

But every single dog ....no matter the size shape or color....smells and acts like a dog.
So far I haven't been able to keep one from licking his privates and sniffing every rear end in sight. Ain't gonna have that then allow them to touch everything in my house where me and the family reside.

Love dogs....but leave them stinking butt sniffers outside.  Cheesy

NO ANIMALS in the house. to me, my dogs are my dogs, they are not my family or human. Tho I like them more than most humans they are still just dogs.
Tho, I can understand Mrs. Dinahs point and reason.
Ain't sayin anybody's wrong, right, or indifferent. Just how I feel about the topic.

Swamp hunter.   Pretty sure your house is safe lol

I have a 60 pound English bulldog.  She is my partner.  But se does shed bad but wife cleans more and she gets baths weekly.  It also helps cause only times she goes out is to potty so she never gets that smell

I have a 70# boxer and a 57# 6 month old pit/mastiff that live in the house and my wife has no trouble sleeping while I'm gone hunting as long as one of them is there!

My first born (11 year old lab) stays inside. Always has. She has better manners than most people and I have more respect for her than most people I know. Also keep our ridgeback gyp inside. Nobody comes through the door unless she says so. She is also our daughter's keeper so to speak. I can't even act like I'm trying to play rough with the wife or baby.
