I drove 18hours Friday from south Texas to lakeland, Fla. Me and the famliy spent the weekend at the strawberry festival in plant city. I saw some hogs on the way in from Texas Friday evening on I 75 right before u get to I 45.took some pics but don't know how to post them.there were couple big one's and punch of little shoats.

Yea looks like there's alot of hogs down here.wishful I had my dogs with me. So I could ta along with th Florida boys .

There are more hogs in and around that area than can be counted. The only thing that out weighs the hogs is the land owners that dont want you there, and the people that have permission that wont take you. couldnt believe when i started on this sight that people were publicly talkin about where they hunt and inviting people along. Texas and Fl are to way different places when it comes to huntin. |

hey fellas im from north florida (madison & panama city) when it comes to hog hunting its pretty easy picking on the farmers,golf courses, subdivisions, etc. they seem to always welcome us to it. now south florida is another story. dont get me wrong theres some great people but you will come across the clannish type. there isnt very many of us dog hunters any more so you would think the more the maryier

Born an raised in Plant City. Lived on Durant Rd. Huntin sure was different there. Seems like all we ever used was Pits. Never a need for a good Trail dog. I remember one time, buddy called had a new place to hunt in Tampa, we loaded up the ol yota, bed about to fall off, floor boards rusted out, dogs needed a tetanus shot just to go hunt, anyways we whipped up to this subdivision, Full of mansions, huge houses, top of the line shnazzy stuff. He said "Watch this", hit the button and these 2 huge black gates swung open an we were in. Actually hunted peoples back yards, and construction sites. Hogs were rootin up there "Sod". Rode thru subdivision spotlighting for them. Sure aint that easy no more in So GA, hahaha  |

What area were y'all runnin in Tampa? That's where I was born/raised/lived up till a few years ago. I know in the 'New Tampa' area there we lots of big ritzy sub divisions....That's great!

Moved up here in 06', believe we hunted it somewhere around 04'-05' ish. No way i could tell ya the name of subdivision, but i belive it was somewhere along the bypass canal in that area. Pretty sure there was a state park near it though.

we love it when we get a call from a subdivision or appt complex they just built after clearing acres of woods we show up with traps like we can set um for ya but aint gonna work we use digs . there like huh ? then we catch a pile the first night there all like you disnt hurt um did ya. and im thinkin yall are on some good drugs , hiw much money they just cost yall . there alive and well but gone so be happy and a thank u is in order lol
