I am looking for a good contact on 27/8" pipe as well as good cedar posts in central Texas. I know there is a lot on CL but if you know of someone who has a good reputation and product let me know.
If anyone has a good recommendation on barbwire I would like that also. I was looking to go with Baekert cattlemaster but I haven't bought it yet. If you have pictures of good fence and entry ways I'd like to see it. I have a man picked to build it but I buy the material and give him the plans, I don't want to build it and see something later on that makes me say damn I wish I'd done mine that way.

How feet of pipe are you going to be using in 2 7/8"? I'm in sales at a steel mill and know several people in your area.

Matt, the local steel place in temple that seels 2 3/8 pipe for $1.25 a foot and the they come in 31' sticks, i can call and find out on 2 7/8 if ud like and it aint far from the land up here, if ur lookin to fence this land up here. Are u wantin him to build the entry gate too?

Yeah Charles I'm trying to get my stuff together to build some fence. I found a guy that will deliver and unload 27/8" for $1.77/ft and that is the cheapest I have found so far.

He is in the business of selling used 23/8 & 27/8 pipe.
He will have the pipe you need, and it should be the lowest price you see. Tell him the guy that he bought his Slade saddle from sent you to him.
He has goosenecks and semi's to handle the delivery.

I'll second Mitchell Equip here in Temple. I bought just over 17,000 feet from him a few years ago when I built some fence and my kennels and it was as close to new pipe as I've seen. VERY little pitting. I got mine delivered for .99 a foot, but thats been a couple years.

Yea back in the summer of 11, i priced piping and it was $1 a ft and $1.25 delivered, up to 50 miles. Matt, i can probably pick it up for yaw and save ya a lil if mitchell is cheaper |

You boys may be on to something. They get $1.55/ft plus $3/mile delivery but that still comes out at $1.58 a foot delivered on 50 joints. Thanks for the info!
