My bulldog is loosing weight and had big soar Holes on his legs I gave him 10 day scrip of cipro his legs r clearing up still looks pulled down real bad I wormed him w nemex worm x plus and the normal monthly ivormec I been feeding him double did I leave anything out don't know what else to do please help.

I had a dog do the same thing sounds like. I was feeding her double and she never would gain weight. come to find out my wormer did not kill tapeworms. Thought i had it all coverd but i did not. They sell a pill at my local feed store that is just for tape worms cost about $12 a pill it good for 50 pound dog. Fixed mine right up. I give it to all my dogs monthly now

I had a dog several years back with that same problem. My dog got a virus from a tick i cannot think of the virus but wasn't Lyme disease but something else. Ask your local vet and he should know, but no matter what you feed him he will not gain weight. The vet will hook you up with the antibiotic that you will need and the dog will snap right back to his or her normal weight. I will go through my paper work and let you know what that tick gave him and the name of the medicine I used.

yep I saying tapes the nemex plus doesn't kill tapes and neither does ivomect get you some safeguard or anything with fenbendozal in it and it shoul help him out .

for a wormer to get tapes it usually has to be done three days in a row . all the brands I use are three day treatments . just giving it once might make um weak but wont knock um out .

No matter how much wormer you give them it will not kill the three types of tape worms unless it is praviquantal. I wish Bryant would post on this thread...........
Order some fish tape pills from jeffers. 2.5 mg per 10lbs. I think, google it just to make sure. Pills are 34mg or the fish tape forte are 134mg(i think).
