I had what you would call a pretty bad day yesterday.... My CD Ruger got out of his pen somehow, I still dont see how and he and my house dog that runs loose on my place went on a little adventure. One that one didnt return from. I know what they did is not good, and I cant put alot of blame on the woman and what she felt she should do. They went almost three miles from where I live and got into a fellers hog pen. Killed 3 hogs and tore another 4-5 up. Now these pigs were suppose to be his "show pigs" but after I could actually think about everything lastnight with a cool head, who shows 200 lb hogs in shows? 2 hogs were that size and the other was a prego sow that was about 400 lbs. So the woman decided to take a baseball bat to my dogs. I could understand a gun, but I mean a F&%%&( bat?!?!?! How in the hell unless it was attacking a person could someone do that? It took me prob 45 mins from the time it ahppened to leave work and get there. Met a deputy and the owner and that bitch there. My dogs laying there and they didnt even shoot them. I shot Roam, my kids and my girlfriends dog. Ruger stood up and came to me, but he is not in real good shape. I figure if he can make it through the weekend he will be ok, but its very hard to also sit there and watch him struggle to breathe. I asked her how many times she hit them after they were already down and she wouldnt answer. She said she didnt shoot them because she is on parole and cant use a gun.... That pissed me off even more. Have some damn decency.... I mean these are family members to me. Say a prayer for Ruger if you would, sorry I just needed to vent a little. RIP Roam.

If somebody's dogs got after my livestock or anything that belongs to me I would use whatever is closest for me to get a hold of.
Did she tie the dogs off and beat them to death with the bat? If that's the case she is completely in the wrong, however, I don't believe she will get in trouble but you probably will. That is how it usually goes!

Idk, Id like to just let everything go on one end, and not draw #2 out, but on the other hand I mean theyre dogs and she beat them with a bat.... Cop also told me that if Ruger lives there are now alot of legalities with him? Im not sure, but he said he would now have to be insured and blah blah blah.... Anyone know how that works? He swore up and down that would be the case. I hope not because he is like a kid to me, but if so he already has a home lined up with a good buddy of mine on here. The officer is suppose to call me within the next week and I will ask him about the animal cruelty charges and stuff. IMO its cruelty. A gun would suffice in my yard. Not a bat. I believe she hit them while they were caught? But I guarantee she kept going even after they were down, I hadnt ever seen anything so sickening in my life.

I had a neighbor shoot a beagle of mine , right between the eyes. My wife heard the shot and petey never came home , when I got home I got my chow and off we went , he lead me to the dog , he was laying in there front yard , I flipped. Out , dragged the dog up on the poarch , and started beating there door down , I also had my 40 tucked in my pants out of sight , there was three men there and they all hid behind the locked door , saying they didn't know nothing , he was just running bunnys , no harm , I ask them to come outside very rude like , screaming , they were all bigger than me but I guess they has been barred , I went home and got madder and went back , trying to get them all out for the super a$$ whippen , they wanted no part of that , so I called the law , if the dog would have made it back to my property it was animal cruelty , but since he didn't there was nothing they could do , I also made a few threats and he moved his whole herd of cows to his back yard for at least 6 months , his dog came in my yard about a year after thAt , it was a small dog , man did I want revenge but the animal had nothing to do with there stupidity, so I picked it up and back to his house I went , I knocked on the door and when he opened it you should have seen the look on his face when I handed his dog back to him in one piece and said he was in my yard ,it took a long while for me to get over this , I still would of liked them to step out so I could of tried to beat them all three red neck style , I'm sorry about your dogs , good man for keeping your head , boy you can have some sick thoughts when something like this happens

I believe it depends on her side of the story. A lot of what courts rule on is what a "reasonable person" would do. When asked about beating the dogs what if she replied.."I kept hitting them until they let the hogs go". That may be reasonable. I would think most people would do that also. Like previously mentioned, what if a bat is all she could find? I doubt she had a break stick handy.

No but I know damn well she had a gun. That would have been better. Bob, Im sorry to hear about your dog, yes alot of thoughts do go through your head, and they still are. I honest to God think I could beat a person with a bat easier than I could a dog. May just be me. ON ANOTHER NOTE, THE OLE LADY SAID RUGER IS UP AND MOVING AROUND A LITTLE MORE THIS MORNING, HE ATE SOME LUNCH MEAT AND WE HAVE BEEN KEEPING HIM HYDRATED. ALSO HE NEVER DID PEE YESTERDAY AFTERWARDS, AND HE PEED AND THERE WAS NO BLOOD AND IT WAS PRETTY CLEAR SO HE IS STAYING HYDRATED. THANK THE LORD. I HOPE HE PULLS THROUGH.

Sorry about your dog but I do not think the law is going to see you as the victim here. Your dogs went on someone's property and killed there livestock I would try to pay for there hogs and and hope they didn't press charges on me.

x2...catch type dogs need to be kept where they can not get loose because they can and will kill livestock including dogs, chickens, and they could get on someones child...
