The best hogdog I've ever had the pleasure to hunt with died today.  Anyone who hunted behind D-man knows what a true hogdog is.  There aren't many like him.   I'm sorry to Michael and Kevin O.  He was irreplaceable.

Kevin, I sure hated to hear it. I only got to see him once but from everything I've heard he was a hell of a dog and I know Michael don't keep one that aint a hogdog..
I had just talked to Michael about us breeding a young dog I have to D-man. She is close kin to him and a granddaughter of Patrick. I'm gonna breed her to a dog Danny has now named Speck who is off D-man's sister. I'm gonna send Michael one and if there are enough I'll try to send 2.
If Big Brown is still alive we need to try to get together and get something bred to him.

RIP  D-Man

Chain....    I have two gyps we were gonna breed him to.  We just decided about it last week.  I loaned Big Brown out.  I'm gonna get him back to breed before he gets it.  We'll get something done.  I'd like to go back to some of yalls blood.

It's never easy to get past those great memories you had with a great hunting partner but if there is a positive side to this it sounds like you have some great dogs to follow and good friends to get you through this.

I sure hated to get that text from Michael. Michael and I just hunted D-Man and his daughter that I have together for the first time last week. He was definitely what you would call a "One Dog Show".  He could flat out get it done.

RIP D-Man.

Man that sucks about D-Man, He died doing what he loved to do! I sure wish we could of got stewball
bred to him, but you still got Big Brown, probably one of the best dogs I hunted behind, wish I could
of got to see his brother in action.
RIP D-MAN.
