So my husband has a EBT bitch he's been using for a while now to catch. She hits the ear like a pro every time. Her ONLY disadvantage is that she's on the smaller side. She has NEVER come out of hold, and has taken a beating, but all in all for larger hogs she's not big enough to anchor alone. WELLLLL.....I've got my male EBT, Shiner, who is just over a year old. He's about 45lbs. He's my wingman and buddy first and foremost but I discovered that he is VERY driven. I've posted about him before on here. Well I am SUPER proud to say, that he met his first boar hog last night, and he hit that sucker like a freight train and went into hold and did the deed like he was a natural! Words cannot express how PROUD I am of that darn dog, lol. He's got a catch dog career in his horizon, and he will be bred to my husband's bitch, and hopefully add a bit of size to the offspring. Unfortunately I could not get any photos or footage because we were all handling dogs and the boar, lol, but believe me, I plan on making a video collection of him throughout his career. He looks almost exactly the same as this Jake dog here in the below video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dUUwLR_-hTA . I swear they could be brothers, lol. I sure wish I could get a hold of these folks in South FL. I'd love to talk dogs with them. I just had to share my excitement somewhere lol. Hopefully I'll have some good videos to share with y'all in the near future. I gotta order him a custom vest, as the one I borrowed from my husband worked, but does not fit as it should. Anyway, here's a quick shot of the boy that made his momma so proud last night, lol.....

Thanks y'all! Yes it is a fantastic feeling for sure.

Depending on how many she drops, we would have no reservations about letting a couple go to active hunting homes!

Already have one promised to a buddy on here Smiley

I hear that. We got lucky with ours, as we didn't have to pay for them. They were sent to us. I tell ya though, I know this breed has become known for being a rolly polly house dog/novelty......but these sombitches have DRIVE and determination. It's amazing watching them work...

T-bob...I googled the heide terrier and I was watching them in this youtube video and I was surprised to see my old APBT "Redman" and one of my airedales on a hog...This old friend of mine wrote a working airedale book and wanted a few airedale pics on hogs...one of them made it on youtube...

those heide terriers look like jagds with a little something else in them but for sure terrier...

Well that's a fine lookin Airedale Rueben! That's what I wanted to see when I asked about fuzzy catchdogs!

I think those lil jagds may be good dogs, just not for me, but the Heide terrier is pretty sweet looking. Look to be around 60 pounds, and I'd bet they are a hodgepodge of Airedale, jagd, and bullterrier.

I'd be highly interested in a pup if y'all wanted to get rid of one. I'm going to cross my line-bred Sizzlin' Heat Plott x Parker Cur dog to a line-bred German Short-haired Pointer and they're going to be some incredible dogs. I'd trade you a pup.

i believe it. my buddy got one from a pound that was a house dog and the first time she hit a pig she hit it hard and locked on. the only down fall was that she was so small she couldnt hold a big  one alone

I'd love 1 or 2 of those pups if you make the cross! I have 2 plott/gsp pups 7 months old burning the woods up already. Couldn't be happier with them.

The Aussies use them all the time! They are very tough dogs that get overlooked a lot. A buddy of mine is trying to sell one that is very gamey. I posted pics on the dog trade.
