You guys can comment on here of pm me it doesn't matter. I'm not sure what breed I want yet but I'm def. up for suggestions!! Thanks everyone!

I do have a friend that is bringing 6 or 7 pups that are 1/2 Plott and 1/2 Cur Cross.  Plott is extremely cold nosed, open mouth and very, very long range.  Cur cross is silent, bay and help catch.  Both dogs belong to him and pups were not planned.  Pups will be about 3 months old and very well taken care of.  PM me if you are interested and I will give him your number.  All pups are dark brindle.

There will probably be more dog peddlers there than you can shake a stick at.

Ill bet there will be 250 pups and another 150 dogs for sale.  25 out of the 400 will be worth buying.

Go there the last day of the event, spend the night and show up early the next morning and there's hundreds of pups left behind that the humane society will pick up and put under unless you get to them first. Its crazy but true show up early and pups running around and no people around to claim them.

dang, thats wild.........I wouled think or at least hope that other hoghunters would treat their pups better than that, I hate to see an unwanted pup runnin around..........may not be the right way to do it but in my opinion if you don't want em and can't find em another home just take em out back and do waht needs to be done......no reason to add to the already huge problem with strays in this country.......I know its sad but its a fact of life, why set a pup up for failure and possible starvation/ infestation because you are to lazy to humanely dispose of the problem you created....just sad

We won't breed dogs unless we already have homes set up for them. I hate when people just leave pups because they don't want em.

It's the same type of people leaving the pups that have a finished dog for sale every other day...they are capitalizing on the hog dogging boom.  they're just worthless people trying to screw someone else over for a dollar.

I got news for you...most (I say most) of the guys selling dogs are not hog hunters and they are not from hog dogs.  These guys are selling dogs to make money.  What does that tell you?

If a dog is worth selling there is no need in setting up a booth to sell them. Think about it................

It is hard enough to find a good puppy let alone expect to trust someone's word out of the back of the a truck.

If I wouldn't have seen this my self I wouldn't believe it. Hunted with a fellow out of Weaterford,tx. Years back and he told me for the past 6 plus years he goes to dog pound and gets pits and flips the dogs as producing catch dogs. He was an older fellow and thought he was just blowing smoke and his step son told me he does that every year. Its really hard to trust after meeting and hunting with this fellow. I know that a lot of people who are selling dogs our pups at this event are good folks but its a shame people like this are out here messing up good things.

But ya better keep a can of lysol in your vehicle and hit your shoes and your buddies when done.

Parvo along with all the other nasty's will go home with ya...and say howdy to your string.

Anything turned loose and left up there most likely ain't nothin to look twice at.. and  anybody that does that aint much of a dog man in the first place ! There is folks that haul a bunch of crap up there if its leopard or YBM they try to turn a dollar . But I've been goin for 12 yrs and seen a decent dog or two come from there and I've sold a couple good dogs ! I myself  sell a few pups up there if I have some I'm takin some sure enough catch dog pit pups this year that have been fed ,fussed over ,wormed and vaccinated as good as can be... and I'm there every year and never had a complaint but if I do I fix it  but definetly if a person don't have horse sense you better walk lightly  !

Very well put, like yeller and so many others out there at this event, lots of really true and honest people out there selling good bread dogs but with anything else out there were there is money to be made you have people that will sell snake oil and make honest people struggle.
